It’s a shame what’s happened/happening with him. I remember when the people were saying ‘take the goals away and there’s not much left’

The goals have been taken away. Hate to say it but we can upgrade on this version of him, quite easily too. There’s attainable targets within our own league let alone abroad
Yep, it’s controversial but I’ve been saying this For a while, but we have many other areas to improve first and dele certainly isn’t a bad player and he’s still young so we can squeeze more out of him but I do feel a next level n.o10 like a Dybala or coutiniho etc is what we possibly need if we want to win BIG titles.

@Zond

Haven't you got anything better to do?

@Zond does nothing but neg rep as far as I can see. He/She never posts; never offers and opinion; never has anything to say of consequence.

But runs around dropping ratings that are never backed up with an opinion or argument of their own.

Surprised the account hasn't been banned tbh

Did everything but score today. If he buried 2 of his chances would of been MOM candidate.. fine margins.

I've been saying this for 2 season and I will say it again: time to cash in while he's still worth something.

We could get Grealish or anyone that is miles better than him with the amount of money we will get.
Forget about Grealish. That ship has definitely sailed.

There are very few players who regularly score from outside the box. And Ive never considered this to be what is expected of him.

Today his finishing was shocking, but normally in those sort of situations he is above average finishing off those sort of chances as a midfield player.

I'm not saying he should always score from outside the box, I'm just saying his shooting is woeful. He isn't a very good finisher outside of the six yard box, for an attacking player that's poor. Compare him to our other attacking players like Son, Bergwine and Moura who all have a good shot on them, Alli's is poor.

Yes. Alli isn't a brilliant scorer of long range goals. I fail to see what point youre making or why. Lineker wasn't either, and scored almost solely from close range, are you suggesting he was a poor attacking player?

Like you said we have players who are more prolific from range.

Yeah but they don't neccessarily find spaces like Alli. Its a fantastic attribute to be able to ghost into positions. It's always a fine line with Alli, it seems for some reason he isn't given any slack and is pretty harshly judged (similarly to Kane but who keeps the mob off his back with consistent goal scoring) it was an off day in finishing... this happens... at least he was getting those chances. He is judged on goals but I thought he played well over all.

His movement off the ball and timing of his runs are top class. The way he finds space so easily is his biggest talent. The people who slate him don’t realise how he makes this part of the game look so easy.

I agree his movement and space finding is excellent, it’s the other parts of his game I don’t rate.

Personally I find that he's been holding on to the ball far to much of late. His finishing was shocking yesterday but everyone has off days and I won't be too hard on him for that, at least he was getting into good positions. But I do have an issue with him when he overplays and/or misses the obvious pass and runs down a blind ally. I feel this has been happening a lot more this season.

He, Son and Moura are all guilty of it. Painfully so at times.

When all you do is play football all day, why is it so difficult to work on your weak foot? Its not that hard and I don't understand how as a professional footballer you can't use your weak foot.

It's things like that which really annoys me about Alli, and he isn't the only one either.
