We're so entertaining. Every game is chaos. Admittedly I would have pissed if we'd lost but I'm Loving the unknown that Spurs is. Anything can happen when we play. It's exhilarating. Loving this Spurs.

I mentally checked out on this one until the goal at the end which woke me up.

It was one of those games that were destined for a loss or draw but when we managed to win I was doing victory laps around my living room to my dogs amusement

The pant wetting over Grealish when we've spent the best part on two players with equal creativity for the best part of 90 - 100 million quid .... Fucking hell.

He was up against Serge who was having one of his days where he'd left his brain at home, and Toby who was showing he's not far off matching Jan in the decrepit stakes. The one where he just waddled past him and left him trailing was a borderline retirement moment for Alderweireld to be honest.

I don't think he's a bad player at all, but he does have quite major glaring limitations still, and today he basically had free run of proceedings and didn't ultimately do that much to capitalise on that. Certainly not to the levels of praise he's been getting all afternoon on here.
I suppose we did make it quite easy for him, but it's also worth remembering all the little, less showy things he does. Pretty much every Villa player who receives the ball looks for him and immediately gives it to him. He's somehow their playmaker, their metronome and their most effective wide player all rolled into one and his passing, while not always showy is immaculately weighted and precise. For me his strengths far outweigh whatever major glaring weaknesses he has and if anything those exist because he's surrounded by a sea of averageness. There are a lot of bang average players in that Villa side and he elevates the whole team to a reasonable level.

Nah he was focused on inviting the little nibble and hitting the deck, whether that was a tactic to win set plays I don't know but I stopped counting after half a dozen times he wriggled away from pressure and had the opportunity of a pass through the lines to a VIlla player but instead stopped to buy a foul.
It was so obvious what he was doing. Was explaining to my wife that I just dont respect that kind of play. It works for him though as people just start to stand off him because they know he is going to hit the deck the moment they breathe on him.

Perhaps it has something to with the fact that (end product aside for a minute) Grealish really seems to have mental courage and wants to make things happen. Some of our players still seem to be going through the motions - and Poch left awhile ago.

He’s scored 6 goals in our last 5 games.

We’ve won four of them, and drawn one.

What the fuck are you talking about

Yes Mourinho seems good on the details but how about we start playing with a certain style and shape. I see very little of this. A caretaker manager could probably have achieved as much in terms of our control, game management and patterns of play. I can't see a lot of what he's trying to do except.
I would have glady agree with you if we had played super well four months ago and beyond. Fact was we played just as shit then. The only difference is we are getting the much needed points now.

For a manager who has just arrived three months ago, what is happening now can only be positive mostly, IMHO. Anything else is over-expectation and unrealistic, or to some extend, biasness, I truthfully feel.
