Apparently Lamela is having a late fitness test, a big positive if we can just have him on the bench IMO. His frequent injuries are a bit of a joke though.

I keep forgetting we even have Bergwijn for some reason! Excited to see more of him.

Before yesterday, Villa were joint with Norwich for the most goals conceded in the league...47.

If we can shut down Grealish, I think we'll certainly find enough chances to secure a win.

They leak goals. Enter Tottenham Hotspur to sort that one out

Grealish is at the heart of almost everything they do well going forward. Yes we've offered up too many goals and chances through our own sloppy play.

But, IF we can nullify Grealish and defend in any way resembling the assured level we can, but seldom see this season, I think we have too much for them in our attack.

I reckon we might gift them a goal through our usual sloppy play, but I also believe we're good for a few goals in our favour. ;)

The weather in Birmingham looks decent on the trusty iPhone weather app. Should be game on.

Yeah looks Ok now - “light rain showers and a moderate breeze”. I was sort of half-hoping it would be called off. Not sure we can cope with 3 games in 6 days.

Got a bad feeling about this. Slippery surface will be a leveller. If we start fast and get the first goal then I back us, go behind and it’s a worry.

I wonder what the VAR controversy will be.

Think we'll have too much pace and power for these.

1-3.

Yes I totally agree. The only problem is we don't have the defensive-minded player to shackle him.
