Great, so you have looked at him, and decided he is unfit to the point being unprofessional. Yet he remains in the club’s plans and has the support of the manager. Have you seen the size and shape of props in Rugby Union or Big Billy Vunipola? Size and body shape aren’t the only indicator of fitness.

Plenty of players take time to adapt to the pace of the premier league, they come from leagues where the intensity level, such as that speed you are closed down reduces drastically, that takes time to get used to. Didn’t see many problems with his fitness when he was running the show against Norwich.

But let’s all keep supporting our record signings by calling him a mentally weak fatty, because hey I’m sure your an absolute physical specimen with mentality of a SAS commando. Once again, some people prove that they are absolute spunk trumpets
Actually, I hike 6-8 miles a day alternating with swimming over a mile just about everyday! How that’s going to change your life, I have no idea, but you seemed so worried...
More importantly, I was fully fit physically & mentally for my line of work, unlike your buddy! And, I didn’t need to be paid 10 million pounds to do so.
Hopefully, as he sucks wind, he’ll wise up & come into the pre-season in far better shape than last. Not with the kiss-ass attitude you have, but with seeing his responsibilities

He came back from injury.

Once he plays back to back games his fitness will further improve.
Ok, but because of his lack of fitness, when is that going to happen?
He IS talented! But, he needs to recognize his responsibility- he’s being paid millions!
And, we need him!

How the fuck do you have time for that?

I'm pretty sure he knows his responsibility...I'm also sure he is fit and just needs games back to back hopefully without injuries.

Do I think yes a good player, yes. Would I have him in my team at the moment, no. We can’t carry passengers. It’s not fair on his team mates.

He is one of our most important player in the squad. He will become fitter in due time.

You can see from that video that he capable of doing things that others can't. Which is what makes him exceptional. That is why it is worth investing time and patience into helping him get his body and mind right when it comes to fitness and focus. 'Cos if we can get that part of his game fully aligned, consistent, and for a sustained period of time, you have one of the best midfielders in the PL and in Europe. He's like Moussa Dembele, but with better passing and shooting ability.

The sort of things he can do on instinct alone, can't be taught or trained into someone. You can either do it, or you can't. He is in an elite league when it comes to raw skills. I hope he knows that, and has the drive to be one of the best. 'Cos that's what will keep him from being a cautionary tale of unrealized potential versus a player determined to show the world, that he is good, if not better, than anyone in his position.

Mourinho has got Ndombele on a global training programme, which takes care of every aspect of his game, including his diet and nutrition, to help balance his fitness with his obvious talent.
Ah ok, good - global as in "encompasses everything" and not "you resemble a globe".

Yes indeed. Potential plus fitness minus. He is going to be phenomenal if he gets the latter right.
Been thinking a lot recently about Kobe, since he died. When you hear him, Jordan, James, Ronaldo, our Harry, Federer and others who are at the top of the pyramid in their respective sports, there is often a common theme around what differentiates the good from the best. Jordan would openly admit that he felt skill-wise that he was in a special bracket, but certainly not alone. He said the difference was all about the work on and off the court. The ability to focus. The drive and desire to win above all. The confidence to take and make the last shot. That was how he, and the others i mentioned above, go from talented to peerless. From memorable to legendary.

That desire is very hard to teach but that doesn't mean it can't be switched on. Agassi was a great example of a naturally great tennis player, who had all the swagger, but not the will required to be consistently great. It wasn't until he was 28, that the light came on for him, and over next two or three years he was easily one of the very best in the world.

I hope that light switches on for Ndombele sooner rather than later, and hopefully at some time, as opposed to never at all... As that would be a great shame.
