He's not a bigot, he's just a silly boy. I'm glad this happened because it'll be the making of him. Since his golden boy arrival in the top flight he's been basking in it and languishing in a comfort zone doing just enough to keep the shine on while barely progressing at all, as a footballer and as a person. This'll be the rocket up his arse he needs, which will humble him but he's tough enough to weather the brickbats. Worth it cos I still believe he's way short of his ceiling, lots of room to play with, and I think Mourinho does too. Ban Dele Alli!

Rather than apologising too much he should donate a massive truck load of cash to the people and organisations trying to resolve the crisis.

An apology video on Snapchat isn’t really good enough, but him sacking off the cliche holiday in Dubai and instead trying to do something engaged and positive would be a great response.

Personally I'd like to see him donate all the earnings of his careers thus far to the cause and turn where he lives now into a treatment centre.

If he was truly sorry, he'd stop wasting his time kicking a ball about and dedicate his life to finding a cure for the disease.

A possibility Dele maybe suspended.

Daily Fail.
The Football Association are investigating Dele Alli’s controversial video he posted on social media mocking a man over the Coronavirus outbreak, which leaves the Tottenham man facing a suspension.
The Spurs player has issued an apology for the inappropriate video but could now be punished after the FA opened an investigation in view of a potential disrepute charge.
Disciplinary chiefs have now written to Alli to seek his observations on the post.

That's us on China's naughty list alongside Arsenal.

No, Ozil criticised government policy.
Dele made a crass post about a virus.
Very different.

The Chinese government would be willing to cancel screenings of our matches simply because Dele made a crass joke as they are that petty.

Interesting that nobody replied when people asked for the list of very stupid things he's done according to people on here. Guess when you wrote out he swore at Kyle Walker once on the football pitch and he might have had his phone hacked which leaked images you realised how fucking pathetic a list that is.

That’s disappointing from him. I actually thought that he had grown up. People have been sacked for less. So he’s fortunate to still be playing.

He hasnt grown up but HE IS growing up. At 23 none of us had grown up... but were. Just seems like we expect footballers to have grown up way before the norm for non footballers.

Dele was foolish and insensitive but then so are many of us SC users. I have seen plenty of pics poking fun of the Coronavirus in the “This thread is useless without pics” thread.

The story is now starting to make headlines on major US news sites. Front page of CNN right now. My guess is FA will make an example of him.

Was the guy he was filming 100% Chinese? Or just “looked” Chinese? It reminds me when all Africans were stigmatised with having AIDS (it was said that AIDS came from Africa) in the eighties. I don’t see how people are blind to the casual racism going on.
it is still said that HIV originated in Africa.

No but still don’t see the attraction

Well, I suppose there are some things you need to experience to know it. It's capitalism on roids. ?. Might not be to your fancy, but considering Dubai's economy is centred on tourism, takes the fancy of a lot of others.
