Literally 3 sentences that have no place being said in the same breath,
To avoid any twisting of Jose words, he basically said: “I have to be honest – I think the best team lost,” Mourinho told BT Sport. “The best team on the pitch lost, but the team with more heart, the team where the players went to their limits won, so we deserved to win''.

I dont think we'll win anything if we consistantly give the ball away as we have been doing. The opposition keeping good possession is one thing but us consistantly giving it back through head down and run through them and poor decision making (even against weaker sides like Norwich) is another entirely.

That

It got the job done. We have some wrong pieces in the puzzle. This works for now.

I can't count the times shit teams did this against us and I thought 'why don't we? We have much more quality to execute our chances'.

Remind me never to be your mate "lol" .
If this is about you thinking that Jan has depression well, you know nothing about me, I’ve supported people with depression but I was answering your point from a football perspective saying that it could be that he’s simply realised his time at the top level of the game is over which must be hard to stomach.

Neither you or I or anyone on this forum knows whats actually going through his head and if there is actually an issue there then the club have responsibility to look after him and get him a counsellor etc but hopefully you’re overanalysing his body language and he was just very pissed off at getting taken off after 51mins as I doubt that’s often happened to him and as I said it’s probably his equivalent to when Gary Neville played his last game for man.u away at West Brom and got hooked at HT and he knew that was him done at the top level.

very sad end it so as loved the guy for us but who knows it may not be and I’m sure he’ll play more this season as we aren’t flush with options back there.

My main concern when out of possession is this:

Our wide forwards are not taking up defensive positions in front of the full backs quickly enough after transition. This pulls one CM out wide to provide cover. A quick switch of play to the opposite wing then pulls another CM out wide to cover to the other FB. This leaves us with one (non) DM in the middle.

Watch how quickly, and consistently Sane and Salah cover for Liverpool in front of their full backs. This results in them having three CM working in a 10m2 area in front of the defence.

After a couple of switches we have one covering 30m2.

Second goal tonight was great, neat little give and go, the fuck can't we do that more often?

This is the problem with 5-3-2, and the 4-3-1-2 of last season. Who is responsible for tracking the opposition fullbacks and stopping switches of play and getting overloaded on the flanks? It ends up almost always being central midfielders shuttling across, but none of the attackers tend to drop back in to fill gaps. You just end up with a midfield getting completely torn to shreds and out position chasing about trying to put out fires, all whilst fans moan and cry about what a shit job they're doing...….
