Giroud is on camera saying how much he hates spurs but likes his friend Lloris.

NO TO GIROUD.

Especially when he's passing off scorpion kicks as on purpose when it clearly was a fluke.

Couldn't give a toss what he's said. What do you expect him to say when he's playing for our rivals? Performance on the pitch is all I care about.

The fans won't take him to their hearts. Have you not heard of Woolwich? Where's your pride, man? :ROFLMAO:

Scored and assisted against them in last years final, costing them CL football. Albeit for the other abomination of a football club but still!

We're desperate and if he signed he could well get us over the line towards our goals, potentially at our rivals' expense. It's pretty clear he's a mercenary at this point.

I’d rather get Piatek on a loan with an option tbh. A young, hungry striker keen to impress and secure a permanent contract would be better than bringing in a former Chelsea and Arsenal veteran on the decline.

If Piatek works out we buy him at a decent enough price and have a long term player, if not we move on to someone else. Giroud is 33 now.

Perhaps he may be more suitable for how Jose wants to play though, that’s the only reason I could see as to why you’d go for a Giroud over a Piatek.

This was Piatek’s first start in over three weeks, in the middle of transfer speculation and amidst Milan playing poorly generally. I didn’t watch but those circumstances don’t sound hospitable to high levels of performance from a striker.

Piatek started a week and 3 days ago and scored in the coppa itali game v SPAL

Well, that and at least so far in this game of chicken, it doesn’t appear Milan have any interest in loan with option. They want sale or loan with obligation. Either they cave or it seems we’re onto other backup plans.

That’s some quality background research there :D. Obviously have no recollection of that, but now I’ve seen it I want us to sign Fred Friday...... and it must be on Friday. Nothing else will do.
He's just been released, so no excuse not to really.
The link attached to the bit about him being released doesn't seem to work, but the slug that can be seen in the preview tells its own story
