Never bet on a Spurs game, win, draw or lose.

I fully agree. I did once bet on our Under 23's losing to Chelsea - The odds were like 7/5 for them to win or something, which was ridiculous as they always beat us at youth level, especially back in those days. Raked in some cash for that easy money.

Even if we are 1/3 I wouldn't touch us simply because there is a more than likely chance, especially lately, that we will draw.
There are no, apart from Liverpool, certs this season.

It's just double disappointment if Spurs lose AND they ruin an accumulator. It's just not worth the risk.

And you're spot on - Even Man City, who are normally fairly reliable, can ruin an accumulator this season. Better off going for Both Teams To Score type accumulators to be honest.

Where as betting on Arsenal it's a win-win ! :D
Although I'd still rather win the bet....

I disagree entirely when it comes to betting on spurs as I feel that because I watch us so much I have a slight edge over the bookie in what I think the odds should be. As long as you can take emotion out of the selection it's worth it imo. I wouldn't bet on us to lose though as it'd just feel wrong, which means no betting on us now as we're shit. In peak poch days though I did quite well out of it until we ended up being silly odds like 1/4 all the time.

Don’t you feel like you’ve jinxed us though if you fancied us to win, went all in on it, then we lose? Or is it just me who feels that way?

It's impossible for me and some others to take emotion out of the equation scsa in the same way as removing it from an Arsenal bet.
We will always show bias if it comes down to a razors edge...and even though we had a great season last year I still didn't bet because......of emotion and superstition!

Ps. I see we drew Norwich In the FA cup, should we get past Southampton.
I said we would get Norwich because of our not so Stellar performance against them in the prem.
Another match to avoid because Norwich are just about the best team I've seen at the bottom of the prem.

Yeah, the emotion thing is the main reason I think it's lots of people's golden rule of gambling. I definitely used to struggle with it but seem to be less affected by bias impacting my predictions with age.

I have turned £20 into £700 over the past month by betting as sensibly as possible. For example tonight I have placed £20 on Eintracht and Liverpool to win which will return £55. Yesterday I bet on Athens and Sevilla which returned around £70 off £20 and before that I had £55 back off £20 with an Italian double. On a Saturday I usually place a treble around £25 which usually returns at least £100. I would say over the past 8 weeks, I have won around 6 of the Saturday Trebles. I will post them on here to see if people are interested, hopefully the winners keep rolling in.

So just over the weekend, I made a profit of around £160.

Hopefully tonight lands and I can keep this going.

Really looking forward to Cheltenham as well :)

Not much of a price but you can double your money on Demopolis in the 17.00 @ Ludlow today. He's a big fancy for me!

I managed to get him at 2.25 last night but will probably go back to that at some point this morning.
