There's a big lesson to be learnt about squad management. The biggest lesson is to never be held hostage by any player... We waited and still are far to long in resolving the Eriksen situation and not having Kane option.

We also need to move much more quicker in the market to give players more time to settle...last minute deals especially on foreign/ over seas players nah

his movement is so similar to CE, but far more aggressive, tenacious player.
GLC can dribble and go past players, like Modric. He is world class.

CE is more like Danny Murphy...not a diss on CE but Poch has done superbly well to get a bunch of Murphys, Michael Browns, Simon Davies and Steffan Iversons to excel like they did, they gave 130 percent over the past 5 years and has nothing left on the tank, this is why we are tanking now,

Wanyama knee busted, Kane can no longer run, Dier perma stomachache, Rose got his depression, Son became a selfish idiot, Lamela semi perma crock, Ali became blind, Hugo twisted his arm.

Might just be me but if you're having a go at Rose for getting depression like you're slagging off the rest of that bunch you mention then you need to go and have a look at yourself.

Lot of people praising GLC and rightly so. Looks bloody amazing and MOTM for the last 2 games by a long distance. It's nice to see someone who can run with the ball, play with his head up and pass the ball forward and creatively too.

The only thing I would say is we have played Southampton and Norwich. 2 games so far against opponents in theory who we should be beating. The big test will be against Man City and whether he can stand out. No reason in my mind but people calling him world class and the next Modric is a bit too far yet in my opinion.

I get your point but I think @AnotherSpursFan was more just illustrating the players who have been impacted by something serious that has impacted their performance/availability. Rose has been extremely open and honest about his battles - I actually think that his constant openness and how people read his comments has impacted the fans perception of his ability and his usefulness to the club.

27 million seems cheap if he can continue this form. Total no brainer to sign him before the window closes

Ndombele is special and I think he immediately showed that, albeit with his fitness and injury issues, I wasn't convinced by Lo Celso until the last few weeks, but he is now showing himself to be a tremendous talent as well. Get them both fit and bedded in and we have a pretty formidable midfield there. Perhaps Poch knew what he was talking about in the transfer market, such a shame Levy didn't back him sooner
Maybe Levy backed him as soon as he could? What with the stadium stuff going on.
We don't really know, so it could just as easily said that it's such a shame that Poch lost the plot.

Whilst I do feel a bit sorry for Poch, having to watch someone else get the players he wanted, shit happens in football (and in life).

So are you saying that Poch managed to make a bunch of mediocre players look fantastic, then wore them into the ground and broke them all?

Not really sure where you're going with this rather simple and silly statement.
Some of our players have been superb of these last 5-6 years, far, far from average plodders.

He wasnt though because he calls Son a selfish idiot, Lamela a semi crock, he stated that Lloris twisted his arm and Alli has become blind.

Having thought about it again and mentioned Rose's depression amongst that, it's a disgusting post. He needs to look at himself

GLC is going to be the player that stops Jose playing negative football cos he is a player that plays football. I don't think he can be negative.

I love how he wants the ball and then immediately looks for another pass. It forces players to move.

This is the modric replacement

Agree with the sentiment but I think what’s more important is he also played against Norwich on the 28th December and was no where near where he is only 3 weeks later. You can only beat what’s in front of you and if football were that cut and dry there would never be upsets

You really ought to change your title from 'AnotherSpursFan'.

Even good players need a good team structure and balance around them to truly shine though.

We are not a very good side at the moment and we are poorly balanced, so it wouldn’t surprise me if he doesn’t stand out too much next week. We will hardly touch the ball for starters and we have no defensive balance to allow Lo Celso the freedom to express himself.

That doesn’t mean he isn’t class though. I’ve watched him for PSG and Betis. He is a quality player with world class potential. We just need to give him the platform to shine with the right team shape and balance.

Ok I take exception to this. I know CE hasnt had a great 12 months or so and I know he is going but can we not forget that CE is actually a damn fine intelligent footballer. Some of his passing is exquisite, he can whip a great ball in in open play (I mean one of the finest passes ive seen is the one to Dele against Chelscum in the cup semi final) and he has scored some goals.

GLC is an excellent clever tricky player but shouldnt negate what CE can do.

I do agree that Poch basically drained every single bit of talent and skill out of that squad to do what we did int he last few years. .

Well done to the club for scouting him and getting a deal over the line, looks a top player. More players of this quality needed moving forwards.
