Was right up there with dembele as my favourite players of the last era some of that has been undone, but not totally, hope the rest of his career goes well. He made us tick and was the main if sometimes only creative outlet for the team.

'midfielder says any move would have to be a step up'

7 months later he's going to Inter Milan, can't imagine he's over the moon

Thing is with the fans attitude towards him this season do you really blame him for leaving at the first opportunity? He was pretty much being personally blamed for our bad season so the relationship was broken. Inter are a sideways step at worst and he’s in with a good chance of winning a league title this season.

Once he leaves it'll be much easier to look fondly on his legacy. Shame he couldn't get the move to Barca as I think he'd have done well there but I can't wait until this is over.

His gone, and on his day a great, but can't help but think what could of been, the last year or 2 has been so sub-par and at times seemed no effort, and his really tainted his legacy, crazy to think he leaves without a trophy with us, what could have been

It's shame - he is undoubtedly one of our most talented players of the PL era but his refusal to sign a new deal and his lack of commitment on the pitch has really soured his tenure. We have been missing and will continue to miss, when he's left, the top form Eriksen.
No issue with the former, it’s the latter that’s done it for me

I would imagine part of the reason Mourinho is continually using him is to show Levy that he needs to be replaced. Personally I'd rather that be a DM, but I wouldn't say no to Bruno Fernandes!

jose is a winner. If he feels he has someone better he would play him.

Real shame how it’s ended but he’s been a brilliant servant and a big part of our success in recent times. Thanks Christian.

Questionable whether it’s a step up though :cautious:

Great player on his day, but the last couple seasons he’s really dropped off for whatever reason. Glad he hasn’t gone on a free.

best of luck!
