:ROFLMAO: I'm only 30

That's a tad unfair. I'm very positive about certain things - though definitely haven't been this season or since Mourinho came in. But then again, there hasn't been anything to be particularly positive about - bar individuals like Lo Celso. (And Lamela - always and forever ? )

I know mate, I am just ribbing ya! xxx

This thread has been derailed, we seem to have moved on from Billy Joel covers about how shit we are back to Piatek. We need a mod in here asap. Let's back on track

3-60 like Scotty Parker
Fazio has lost his marker
Mido weighs a fucking tonne
That's still less than Huddlestone
Mabizela, Blondel
Postiga, John Scales
Davenport has got to go
Never pass to Gilberto

We didn't sign a striker... and we're never learning

At least we’re (hopefully) buying a back up striker who has actually proven he can score goals in a good league

Let's wait till we have confirmation that we have a striker first, as we know how this could end up!

As a striker in the PL you have to have some stand out feature that creates space for yourself and your teammates. You can have pace, you can have the ability to go past players, exceptional dribbling, heading and hold up play. But you got to have something.

I'd say Piatek, due to being a classic target man / hold up player, is better suited to the PL than say Soldado and Janssen.

That said it's no guarantee for success, as always. But at least Piatek has the basic tools to be effective.

Gards going for "100k a week on a 4.5 year deal. But that's only the contract draft, nothing received on the business side yet."

This looks to be gaining momentum again.
Given the other options around, he looks the best fit.
Known that he sees Kane as a role model, so no reason he can’t add to his game if training together.
Decent shot, good header of the ball, and works hard off the ball. Would be a pretty tidy option. More to his game than some of the others mentioned in this thread.

I used to look at spurs transfer rumours on teletext. :oldman: :D

There used to be a phone number to call for gossip aswell.. remember it saying Eto'o was coming. I racked up a 100 pound phone bill and my mum went mental ?

I remember that...I hammered my parents bill when we were linked Jean-Pierre Papin!
Showing my age there!
