Crappy 3 points as a result of a very crappy performance. Lo Celso being my MOTM for being the only ray of sunshine.

I thought Aurier did well AGAIN... as he has since Jose has come in

GLC an dive been hesitant of him of late - he did well

Hugo was safe hands and actually he didnt have too much to do

Overall though i expected far more from Jose than we have shown however i also blame the ****s on the pitch

Crappy 3 points as a result of a very crappy performance. Lo Celso being my MOTM for being the least crappiest of our players
We were crappier than you're stating, but Lo Celso wasn't just the least crappiest, that's a disservice to him, he was exceptional.

Lloris - 7 - Welcome back.
Aurier - 6 - Pretty average tonight, but much better than Sessegnon going forwards.
Toby - 5 - Not enough urgency with his passing into midfielders feet.
Verts - 5 - Every pass was hit slowly and behind the receiver. Slowed us down all night.
Sessegnon - 4 - Not a LB. And not aggressive enough in his running. The way Dele and Son are playing he could probably get in the side as a LWF at the moment if he showed anything going forwards.
Winks - 6 - Not a DCM, needs to used to drive us forwards from middle third to last third and not sweep up in front of the back 4.
Lo Celso - 8 - By far the best player in a white shirt.
Dele - 4 - Needs to be left out as he is having a shocker every week.
Lamela - 6 - Dilly dally. Not his best game.
Moura - 5 - Impact sub and not a starter for me. Always puts a shift in and one of our few attacking players who puts his foot in and challenges for every header.
Son - 5 - Short of confidence

Eriksen - 6 - Please sell him. Enough is enough.
Dier - 6 - 5th choice CB
Gedson - 6 - Playing safe as he's still new boy.

Mourinho - 5 - Wrong team. Bad subs. Lucky win. Against the worst side in the league. At home. He needs to start being ruthless and dropping the big name players if they are out of form. Which Dele most definitely is.

Lo Celso was excellent.

Aurier was solid defensively and was available offensively. Has really stepped up during the Mourinho period.

Son, Moura and Alli were largely ineffective despite the 2 goals coming from them.

Sessegnon has just got no confidence. It will come for sure. He looks for the easy pass before even contemplating anything more adventurous.

Was good to see Lloris back again. Still think it's an area we can improve but he does provide in my view more confidence to the back 4.

Of our subs, I think Dier did well when he dropped into the back 4. He is not quick enough to play on the half turn in midfield. Gedson was largely anonymous.

Eriksen just was not on the same wave length. Shame as I am sure that will be his last appearance for us and people will remember his bad form over 18 months but the few years prior were a joy to watch and I hope he gets this career moving again.

MoM - Lo Celso by a country mile
Very good - Lloris, Alderweireld and Aurier
Good - Winks,
Average - Vertonghen, Fernandes, Dier (poor in midfield, average/good in defence), Sessegnon (gave away a penalty but kept plugging away and didn't let his head drop)
Poor - Lamela, Alli, Eriksen
Very poor - Son
Atrocious - Moura

Lo Celso colossal. Aurier decent. The rest absolutely shocking. Clowns, the lot.

EDIT: Harsh on Fernandes. Clearly tasked with shielding the defense after our last goal and, for it not being his strongest point, thought he did well. Far better than Dier.

Good first half. Not so good second.

Mourinho correct about Sess' not being ready for a LWB slot in my opinion. Did okish. But he isnt ready for a starting slot in that position. Poor for the penalty. But, worked hard and tried. A player there, just needs developing.

Cm looked ok until Winks went off. LoCelso played well. Like that partnership.

Moura, JM needs to work out how to get the best from him. Swap aboutwith Son maybe? Neither of whom had the best of games but cant fault the effort.

Lamela just needs game time.

Serge had a decent match.

Not much else I can think of, wasnt as bad as the match thread indicates. (But then it never is).

Lo Celso, followed by Winks, followed by them combined the best 45 mins from a cm2 for us in fucking ages. Used the ball smartly, even more impressively were aggressive and won the ball back countless times and often high up the pitch and stopped them playing out.

The rest was footballing AIDS.
