So we’ve assembled a nice collection of tippy-tappy midfielders, but boy do we need some real aggression in there. Shocking how easily Norwich got through.

That was a hard hard watch :( didn’t Deserve to win and another turgid performance.
I hope we start playing better because the fans won’t put up with this, there was some real anger inside the stadium tonight.

Anyway, what I wanted to say before Burnley scored, GLC was MoM, but I’m worried how poor the 3 of Dele, Son, Moura are.

it’s too rushed, too imprecise. Too many runs into nowhere or stupid flicks rather than ensuring possession.

still work to be done, but it’s good to put the pressure on teams above us with a crucial win.

come on burnley
massive 3pts for us but you can see the confidence is non existent. eriksen needs to fuck off, like playing with 10 the gutless shitbag refusing to tackle.
moura is just so frustrating. the quality is there but just decision making is awful

honestly though I think i'd rather the failed Pochettino 'diamond' than this bullshit Mourinho 'longball'

That "failed diamond" is, in hind sight, a masterpiece of tactical genius by Poch because it got us to a Champions League final and was scoring us goals - against quality sides - even when we were playing as shit as we are now (because players downed tools).

Now we can't defend; we can't score; we can't do anything cohesive. It's just one big fucking mess. Week after fucking week. Not a single sign of cohesive, understandable, understood and rational footballing intent or strategy.

I get that Mourinho hasn't had any time to force his imprint but this is getting very very worrying now.

We look better defensively with every passing game albeit the mistakes are still there but not as many. Central midfield has also improved with both Winks and Lo Celso constantly looking to get the ball forward. However, offensively the front 4 have been atrocious and have been getting worse, not better. Sod looking to bring in a Jonny average striker, we need a quality attacking player if we're serious about getting in the top 4. We've Man City up next, with Chelsea away at Leicester... potentially a 3 point gap if and it's a big if we sort out our attacking personnel before the window shuts.
Trouble is we won't bring in a quality addition we are scrapping about for loan deals and cast offs.

We looked like a team that was scared of the opponents, We made quite a few errors especially in defence. MOTM must be Lo Cleso, he had a blinder. Son, should have scored at least one more. At least we got the three points that brings us closer to the top four.

Tippy tappy Winks and Lo Celso in the cm2 were fine, because they played with intensity and aggression and steamed into them and gave them no time on the ball.

The problem was, especially second half, the lazy front four just standing up front waiting for the ball to come to them on the counter. It doesn't matter who you play, top of the league, bottom of the league, pub teams, if you just try and defend with half a dozen forlornly trying to plug huge gaps and are carrying four (or more) passengers not wanting to get back in then you're asking for trouble and will be wide open. And when those passengers are just fucking away the ball the instant they get it, even worse.

What a load of shite, this is painful and there are no signs of anything improving with this squad or manager. Poch wasn’t tactically the best but he knew some of the players who were key first teamers had started to decline and wanted them replaced. Looking at the performances it’s clear that Jan, Toby, Rose, and Dier are finished.

I don’t blame Poch for being miserable and distant for the most of 2019, having to work with players who aren’t up to it and consistently getting fucked over by your boss even after delivering beyond expectations.
