you should read the article. It says the release clause would not be generated.
Well of course no way Levy would pay that. My comment was just that this would likely be a permanent transfer.

Willian José is a really good striker and definitely in the Mourinho mould.
I'd get behind this 100%

What does he/she think of the player?

@SpartanSpur

This is from Piątek thread, will answer it here.

My Sociedad supporting mate says it's almost done, legit sources confirm the story. He's the main focal point of the attack and - apart from Oyarzabal or Odegaard - their best player. He's great in the box, always looking to score.

He's not 'stupid tactically' and knows he sometimes has to drop back to help in the build up.

Sometimes he lets his emotional side take control of him.

Pretty surprised at the negativity around this one. Consistently good scoring record over a number of years in a top league, and seems the perfect prototype of a Mourinho striker. Realistically, we only need someone who can act as a traditional centre-forward and bring the likes of Son, Alli, Lucas, Lamela into play, and this bloke looks perfect for that.

I’m all for this tbh. Strong, quick, decent technically and a consistent goal scorer. Won’t demand huge wages and experienced enough to come in and do a job for the rest of the season.

At 28 if he’s a hit we’ll be able to get a good 4-5 years out of him. Perfect backup striker IMO.
