Hugo Lloris returns in goal tonight after missing our last 23 games following an elbow injury sustained at Brighton on 5 October. He's one of two changes from Saturday's draw at Watford - Lloris and Sessegnon for Gazzaniga and Tanganga, both of whom are on the bench.

TEAM FORM: --Spurs_ LDLWD _____ Norwich _ DDWLW ___ (All Competitions)

Following their 2-2 draw at Carrow Road in the reverse fixture, Norwich are looking to avoid defeat in both Premier League (PL) meetings with us for only the second time in a PL season (also in 2013-13). Away from, home they havent won any of their last 15 evening kick offs (7pm and later) in the PL, drawing 5 and losing 10, since winning 2-1 at Ipswich in September 1994.

Norwich have failed to score in more different away agames than any other PL side so far this season (7). The Canaries have netted just 5 goals in their 11 away games in 2019-20, fewer than any other side.

Norwich's Emiliano Buendia has created 68 chances in the PL this season , with only Kevin De Bruyne creating (82). For the Canaries, Buendia's tally of 68 is 45 more than any other player for the club (Todd Cantwell 23). Teemu Pukki has scored 10 goals in 22 PL games this season - he is one of only three Finnish players tp reach double figures in a PL season along with Jonatan Johansson in 2000-01 (11) and Mikael Forsell in 2003-04 (17)

We have won our last 2 PL home games against Norwich, 2-1 in September 2013 and 3-0 in December 2015. After winning 20 consecutive PL home games against promoted sides between 2012-18, we have failed to win 2 of our last 3 such matches - losing 1-3 against Wolves last season and drawing 1-1 with Sheffield United this term.

We have won our last 9 PL home games played on a Wednesday, since a 0-1 loss against Leicester in January 2016. We are one of two PL teams yet to score in 2020 along with Bournemouth.

We havent failed to score in 4 consecutive league games since September 2006. Since Dele's goal against Bighton on Boxing Day, we have not scored a PL goal in open play in our last 6 hours and 18 minutes of football, attempting 52 efforts in open play without success in that time.

Ironic that our last PL goal was against Norwich ?

We haven't scored in open play, in the league, since boxing day.

We really to stop being so wasteful.

maybe not taking pot shots from impossible angles, son and Lamela I’m looking at you here and also playing a simple pass for a tap in instead of firing wide (Lucas) will help with that.

I've given up trying to predict how we might play, we have too many players not playing anywhere near their potential.

Not only how we’ll play, who will play as well!
We’ll know we’re finally on the road to recovery when we start seeing settled sides.

I'd be happy if we had a style of play where players can slot in & out of, but every time we use different players we tend change style & no one is quite sure where they're playing leading to disjointed football.

NDombele is back (albeit for not 90mins) and I hope Gedson gets a start. That brings a lot more energy, power and passing precision than bloody Winks and Dier

Feeling confident about this one. Pair that with the idea of us closing the gap on Chelsea, I am predicting a brutal, soul-crushing loss.

Crazy to think we couldn’t beat these lot WITH Kane, It all really depends on if we can score 2 goals because I can see Norwich scoring for sure with Pukki

(positive state of mind)

We will win today. I can feel it.
The last couple of games we have seen our defense slowly getting better. And we were so close in getting a point from liverpool (GLC chance) and very unlucky not to get all three against watford.
So today is the day we both win and keep a clean sheet.

The funny thing is, I'm not sure it is crazy. The lack of Kane is not the main problem, it's the football being played behind him. We were absolutely terrible even with Kane in a range of games and he was barely seeing the ball in those matches.

I don't know about this one. Far too many people making assumptions about an easy victory. You forget we're not a very good football team. Think we might scrape a win, but if they score early it could be a tricky night.

Five minutes from the end of the game at Stamford bridge last night I'm thinking oh well that's us eleven points down on Chelsea but then Arsenal scored and so a win tonight brings us back to six points. Have to get this win tonight.
