AS I say its only my humble opinion and could be 100% wrong .
One day we will sign someone like a Klinsman or Van Der Vaart who will start playing from day one and not need to
Get fully fit
Get used to the pace of the premiership
Need time to adapt
Need time to get used to the power game in the premior
Need time to adapt to teammates
53mill £ in my opinion I expect a player who had no recent injury record should be good to go from day one
It seems I expect too much.

Anyone thinking Ndombele is going to be our saviour is in for a rude awakening . I genuinely hope my opinion of this bloke is completely wrong and he makes a fool of me I really do . But for me Too soft .Too unfit. No belly for the tough side of playing in the premiership is my assessment albeit he has all the skills any player would need . I would hold up my hands in a heartbeat if proven wrong as I desperately want us to succeed .And its only opinion as some have exactly the opposite ideas on this fella .

He had a fucking groin pull!!!
Have you ever had one?????
His game is twisting and turning He has to be ready to play and fit but I wouldnt take it lightly.
He us a brilliant player

Not sure VDV, great player though he was, is the best example you want to be giving when talking about fitness.

And £50m is basically the price for a good central midfielder these days.

TN needs time and patience. Even players like Henry needed a year to get used to the PL.

Just an example of £50m or more players who needed or are still needing time to get used to the PL - Keita, Fred, Cancelo, Pepe, Lacazette,

If you are happy with the output of Ndombele then fine . It just seems that every player we sign takes an eternity to get up to speed .
Does anybody think its unreasonable to expect a player to be good to go from the off I seem to be the only one .
IT seems we sign a player and everyone says " we will see the best of them next season " or they need six months to bed in and get used to the premier league . All I am asking for is a player fit enough or clever enough or inteligent enough or adaptable enough to play to his best from day one it seems I am asking too much.

There’s a lot more to consider ie change of style country culture players speed etc .

I’d expect much more from a player already adapted to our circumstances.

Don’t worry, being an expensive player with a price tag with a “hard” mindset can make you overcome muscle tears and pulls. Just got to stop thinking soft.:banghead:

To be honest I also think that Poch and Mourinhos attitude to NDombele wasnt right either.
Occasionally you see a player that has something special. In this case you have to work with them.
I like Mourinho but I think he is not understanding of NDombele. Work around him. Dint try and make him a cardboard cut out of others, respect his uniqueness as a player and fill in the blanks with the regular players like Winks and Dier and whoever but let NDombele do his magic.
Expect more from NDombele too but not at the expense if his creativity. As it's at a premium at CM

When was the last time we brought a player that was good to go from day one ?
It seems that Jose has found one for us as he put Fernandes on in the last 10 minutes at Watford so we may not have to wait too long to see him start a game so a glimmer of hope a newly signed player actually ready to play from the off.

Tbh, it says more about our style of football or lack of it at the moment. If you’re playing a highly sophisticated, well-coached pattern of play it’s gonna take signings time to learn it, be coached and adapt. If you’re playing pretty basic football like we are currently, of course it’s easier for a signing to come in and play off the cuff.

When you see, in recent times, someone like Kante come in from the French Second Division and take the league by storm, you do have to wonder why players who have played at a higher level, in particular played CL football, came in and they're crap. It's really weird.

I almost don't want to watch Spurs games if this guy isn't in the team.

He has cost us a few times at the back, as delicious as some of his passes are going forward, I think had others been so detrimental at times to our defence you would not be saying that.

But how many teams sign those players, especially in CM?

Evidence would suggest that you are. There are loads of players to take time to adjust. Those that don't are the exception and should be congratulated.

Ultimately though evidence suggests that it takes time for many players to adjust. We could pretend it's because they're lazy or spoilt, or we could recognise that they're probably just human and that it's not as easy we think for all sorts of reasons

On one of the threads there are fans saying " they don't want to go to matches anymore " for various reasons but mainly that the team is not
good enough . Well part of the reason we are not good enough is that we have players that cost a lot of money but need time to get up to fitness / need time to adapt / injured often / all I am saying is lets sign players premiership ready and able to play from the get go it seems that its too much to ask .

"Last week he worked one on one with the fitness coach to bring his level up before joining the group."

That's EXACTLY what I wanted to hear.

Hope the fucker is in the starting Xl tomorrow.

Definitely seems to confirm what many of have been saying on here - that his injuries are directly linked to his lack of fitness.

Indeed. I've said my pieces and wont say anymore on it, just want to see him have a run of games and us to get what we thought we were getting when we shelled out the dough.
