Would everyone be delighted to see him leave if we don't replace him?
At present, yes.
Lo Celso, Ndombele and Gedson can fill his boots. Alli gets to play as a 10 too.
Ideally we would replace him but I could live without til the summer.

Given the amount of injuries we have it is pretty essential we replace him. The damage losing Dembele did to us and not replacing him was plain for all to see. He's been pretty crap for a while now but still having the body to bring on makes a big difference.

No begrudging Christian for his 7 years of service to the club, he’s been an absolute asset all this while and has more than repaid the club with his performances.

If a different culture is what he wants now, lets part ways on a sweet note and get some financial return now.

Having an unmotivated player no matter how talented can only be detrimental to the club, not to mention standing in the way of other motivated players.

Fans gotta remember, Eriksen’s a professional footballer, he doesn’t owe this club anything and has to do what’s best for himself and his family.

I don‘t begrudge him and his family wanting to go and live abroad and experience a different culture, but I do begrudge the way he’s gone about thIngs.

Compare this to how both Modric and Bale behaved when their moves were on the cards.

Maybe, if we don't replace him, Jose will start using Skipp more and pushing someone else forward, like Lo Celso or even young Gedson.
It would definitely leave a bit of a hole (he's been such and important player for us) but I think we could manage if we don't replace him til summer.

We didnt create without Eriksen. When he was left out as an experiment then brought on it usually changed a game. But, he had a proper cm and effective wingbacks. Not anymore. So of course his performances are going to be worse if he cant do what he does best.

None of us are qualified to know if he has a lack of commitment? I'm terms of playing that is. Certainly not if it has rubbed off. I'd agree he has been below par, maybe a bit is mental. But overall he isn't working with a team that is clicking or has the ability it had a season ago.

Time will tell. Money is on him doing really well in a cohesive side.
Personally I think he’ll do well wherever he goes because he has the talent - it’s the application that has gradually died off

Lot of reports from Italy saying the deal is done for around €18m. (some say €15m + bonuses, but more or less the same thing).

Interestingly, the Vecino chatter has resurfaced today despite having died off the past week.

There was an odd situation with the player a few days ago with some sources claiming he was injured while others said he was fine. Despite desperately needing a midfield sub, Conte kept Vecino on the bench in our 1-1 draw with Atalanta and finished the match with a substitution remaining. He also wasn't called up to the squad in the mid-week Coppa Italia match.

All of a sudden, there were rumors of a falling out with Conte, and the next thing you know, Vecino's agent Alessandro Lucci arrived at Inter HQ. He claimed that Vecino is "very well" at Inter, that the rumors were media inventions, and that he wasn't there to talk about Vecino or Florenzi (Roma's RB we've been linked to). However, Inter has no other players or targets who are Lucci clients.

"Market specialist" Alfredo Pedulla goes as far as to say Tottenham have accepted Vecino as part of the Eriksen deal, but that seems extremely unlikely to me. FCIN, an Inter source, corroborates the Vecino -> Tottenham link, but claims that it is a completely separate deal to the Eriksen transfer.

Just for the record, there are tons of "media personalities", "market analysts" and "insiders" in Italy and all of them have varying degrees of ever-changing credibility. Fabrizio Romano and Gianluca Di Marzio are considered two of the most reliable sources but all of them have as many legitimate "successes" as they do failures. I would agree that Romano and Di Marzio possess somewhat more credibility than the others but only marginally - I'd give them a 6/10 in that regard. The others range between 1-5/10

You mean the Bale that refused to train?

Shame it's ending a bit acrimoniously for Eriksen but if we get around £15m for him, that's not bad considering he cost us £11m and only has 6 months left on his contract. Also, I think people underestimate how important he was for us due to his 12 month long sulk. His stats with us (all comps) are:

304 games 69 goals 90 assists

Our most successful "Beatle."

I think Gedson replaces the injured Sissoko. Lo Celso looks to be an Alli/Son or Lucas replacement and I don't think he's gonna use winks for whatever reason. We will be short a creative attacking midfielder in the group if he goes. He might not have been playing well or consistently but Mourinho has still used him. Hopefully we can show some ambition and replace him with someone decent.

IMHO the Bale stuff was all for the media and to make Levy look better. We clearly had agreed to sell him early in the summer and it was about signing up the replacements to soften the blow.

I disagree on Lo Celso, I think he's better centrally than out wide like Son or Lucas.
He doesn't quite have the explosive pace of those two but is better in tighter situations.

I agree but that's where he has been using him so far more often than not. He's best in the 3 of the 4-2-3-1 and wasted deeper than that.

Being able to spend your 18-30 year old ages in Amsterdam, London and Milan sounds pretty fucking awesome.

I’m gonna miss the hell out of this guy. My favorite spurs player, an absolutely incredible player and was so key to our success in the Poch years. His assist vs Chelsea in the FA cup semi to Dele was the best pass I’ll provably ever see from a Spurs player.

This is very true thoughts echoed in a interview I saw with gus poyet . He said exactly the same thing, also adding that he could eventually play behind the main striker. Good in tight situations plenty of work rate with a explosive left foot.

like Lamela he is very one footed but his balance is so good to create space and shooting possibilities. His last few months at real betis shows his attacking qualities
