I don't see him as a RB, I know he got Forward a couple Of times but I want my RB to be a lot more aggressive, especially if the LB is siting. Prefer him at CB or in a back 3

Always try to temper my excitement when so early in a players career but my what a great start.

I’d be loathed to throw him into a two man cb pair just yet (especially with Deeney up next) but either right side of a three like v Liverpool, or right back, I’d start him. Either way he has to play and build on this.

I’m not even sure where I like him more, his ability to get up the pitch but keep his head up combined with that solidity might make for a top class right back, but equally I’m happy for him to learn there about top flight football until he’s ready to move central. Didn’t do Campbell, King, or either of our Belgians any harm having a spell at full back. You

He has that special ability about him. You look at him play and instantly know he will make it, I've never got that with Foyth or Sanchez

Sanchez was superb in his first season. Japhet has made a great start and looks to have all the ingredients to make it but he's got a way to go to dislodge Sanchez. The guy's made 2 first team appearances.

Another good game. All we can hope is he keeps learning, improving and we might just have a very good player on our hands

If we have anyone in the youth sides with his ability and mentality then we need to promote them now. They’ll give the team and the fans a lift like Japhet has.

Wasn't that. He should have been tighter to him. If you watch it he is caught ball watching completely loses where Firminho is until it's too late. Only slight blip in an an otherwise good performance.
Mabye mabye not, possibly a little harsh but also certainly room for improvement as he was up against 3 WORLD CLASS attacking players and did amazing.

You really need to wonder after his top pre season and seeing him now why Pochettino has basically put him out of selection the whole time....

Gotta be something from “don’t look back in anger “

Whyyy did Jose wait?
He picked him too late
As the games passed us by
Top four slipped away
But now we’ve got Tanganga
He’s here to stay
