Redknapp saying Liverpool got bored in commanding possession lol
Until the last 15 mins, that was our game plan if we went 1-0 down imho. No way Mourinho hadn't planned for it.

He would have identified Gomez before the game and he definitely would have said they'll get lax and complacent and lose the ball high up the pitch.

LOL Jose.... VAR having a cup of tea when Robertson tackled Tanganga. Robertson did get to the ball first but that has the potential to break a leg.

Jose also mentioned that Lamela isnt fit enought to play a full 90mins.

Well, that was a bit more like it. Although it wasn't pretty at times, we hung in there and in the end started stringing a few passes together in a manner that's been missing for quite a while and it had an end product too. On another day we take one of those chances and we get a point.

Much more encouraging in patches, I'm not expecting too much out of this season and we'll probably put in a few crappy performances over the next few months but if we can use that as a base going forward that's a decent start.

It was the game plan yep. My Liverpool mate is jabbing me saying he feels sorry for us having Mourinho and saying he loves Spurs but Mourinho will ruin us LOL

Every game against them is so disheartening. Thinking of where both the clubs were a couple a years ago, they backed a manager and pushed on. We fucked around and it all blew up.

I honestly believe refs let the status of the player influence their calls, and an unknown Tanganga aint going to even get a foul. If he'd done that to Kyle Walker at City it may well have been different.

If Aurier had done it to Trent, Neville would have marched down to perform a citizen’s arrest and we’d be facing down the barrel of another petition :cautious:

Also hang in there at 1-0 until the latter stages and you will eventually get a spell in the game and some chances, classic scenario. It's a natural tendency for the team ahead, do we push on or do we sit on the lead, all of a sudden you're cautious and end up doing a bit of nothing. Meanwhile the team that's losing finds one last hurrah, throws on a couple of attacking subs, and finds a bit of momentum.

We've seen enough Spurs games where it's been roles reversed. Total comfort for 70 minutes is anything but in the last portion of the game.

First half we were pants, second half we improved and could have won it with great chances missed. I was quite impressed with Tanganga.

Mourinho on Tanganga
“I thought he did well. I think the kid has reason to be happy with his level. His first game in the Premier League and he did amazing. First with Mane and then Salah. I don’t want to take credit from that. I only worked with him for a couple of months. Credit goes to the academy who worked with him and it’s a message to those other players in the academy.”

“The last thing I want to do after this performance is talking about [new] players. It’s disrespectful to these players. Can we say Tanganga is a new player? He showed he can play in the Premier League. It’s a shame he’s not a striker or a midfielder. I think Mane and Salah know who Tanganga is now.”

The master of motivation has spoken. This should help Tanganga as well as the Academy players.

Also compared it to Sons red to highlight how ridiculous it was VAR getting involved in one but not the other.
