The reason for our defeat tonight must include the missing players- Parrott, (not selected because of 1st team injuries) and Cooper, both Craig brothers, Scarlett, Asante and John all injured.

Having watched Roles play just before Christmas he is playing very well and looking like a player that will and can play a higher league next year and if we are not going to give him game time then I would like to see him at a club like QPR.

When he came on in the second half against Leyton Orient he was demarding the ball right from the off, he was running the game with some very good short and long range passing and his movement off the ball was very impressive and add that he can shoot from anywhere makes him a very dangerous player.

Bottom line if Cambridge United had started the game with Roles there was a good chance they might have won this match.
Matt Ritchie was in the same league at the same age as roles. Remember seeing him for Swindon against Barnet and realising how good he was there. Same thing could happen to Jack, working his way up through the leagues.

The site I use can be wrong on how they line-up,Skinner has been playing in holding Midfield in his last few showings.

Cirkin can play CB,Cassanova I don't know a lot about him.

spurs always tweet the line-up in number order too so it goes gk, rb, lb, cm, cb, cb, rw, cm, st, am, lw

cassanova has played cm and #10 the couple of times i've seen him but looks like he's playing rb today.

It is a interesting line-up and it is the sort of game you would like to watch.

Definitely thought Cassanova was a more attacking player.

He is. We're probably just trying to develop different areas of his game. That's also why we're probably playing Skinner in midfield, in order to help his passing game.

He turns 20 later this month so I don't think leaving us quite fast tracked his development as much as he would have hoped. He may not have been on the bench for us at this age but he would have been training with better players, better coaches, better facilities and he would have been up against stiffer competition to get into the first team. He'd have to have imagined that at a club like Palace with its lack of decent players he'd have got a sniff before now. I don't think his Blackpool loan was a roaring success just by doing a quick google. If he's happy doing what he's doing then I suppose it all worked out but I don't think he's shoved it down our throats by going on to great things.
