But we did have an immediate reaction, we won our first away games in nearly a year and have got 16 points from 9 games whereas we had 24 points from 25 games.

The fact is that the players are seriously underperforming and have become a bit billy big bollocks and think they can win without hard work.

I dont think Jose is innocent either. Hes made some choices which I think have cost him.

Dropping Sanchez when Vert has been poor and Sanchez has been doing the majority of the mopping up the past few months albeit with mistakes.

Continously persisting with Moura who has been having 1 good moment every 4 games.

Sticking with Dele to the point where Dele appears to be exhausted and played back out of form and seemingly refusing to drop him.

Choosing to tinker with the defence and relying on the inexperienced when we were lacking a midfield shield against Norwich.

So as much as I do think Jose needs time and also a chequebook to turn things around, there's some things which are his own doing.

I see all the anti Mourinho posts have started creeping in... ?

Almost like you think Mourinho's pre-match team talk is encouraging the team to start every match lethargically.

Our biggest problem is not even Aurier whos become the default.
I watched game after game especially the games we've lost and its as clear as string water, Alderweireld and Vertonghen are finished in this league why did we give Alderweireld a new contact ask yourself why nobody came in for him at £25M buy out.
The premiership has moved on its about the press and both are extremely uncomfortable in one on ones both take an age to play from the back, this just invites pressure. We've now become a long ball team.
I am not at all enjoying this team, it's become predictable and depressing. The only way out is to spend.
I partially agree. I also think all our centre halves have struggled, because its a very difficult position to play with zero protection from the full backs or midfield. Jan, in particular, finds it absolutely impossible to cover the distance he is having to, essentially covering the entire left side in the defensive half of the pitch. Good luck with that, Jan.

Shame he wasn’t employed as caretaker till May, then we could decide whether to stick or twist.
Now we‘re stuck with him till he throws his toys out the pram.
Maybe this time it will be different, for the sake of all our sanity I hope so

Levy says shit like 'english clubs can't keep spending like this' or 'We have to get rid of this obsession in England of spending money '

Both lewis and levy are cheap bastards who always want a bargain

Until he's given a fair crack and a chance to at least try and overhaul the squad then it's way too early to judge.

Should have just hired Howe, he wouldn't have embarrassed people with his behaviour, wouldn't have 'thrown' his unfit out of shape record signing under the bus and he wouldn't be possibly ignoring injured players on the physio table among other things.
Yeah but we probably would have been ball bagged 5-0 by both United and Chelsea. Because that’s what Eddie the fraud Howe does.

Yeah, but he wouldn't shout and say things and upset millionaire footballers who blow hard after 30 minutes of football ... Progressive, paths, long term plans etc etc ...

Our fanbase can't do enough to force levy's hand, which only leaves Jose, the same way he asserts his authority on the touchline, he must do in meetings.

With the players at his disposal we simply cannot reach the club goals

Think people suggesting that Jose is letting Levy see how shit it is in the hope he will spend big are either hugely optimistic or haven't been paying attention - the same was said of Poch.

Jose will have to fix this with largely what he has, as it has ever been under Levy.

Currently some of my concerns about his appointment are coming to pass but it is still relatively early.

My concern remains that he doesn't have a great record of improving players through coaching and he's not going to be given money to spend.

After watching your team start lethargically game after game you'd think the manager would change things.
So yes it's the manager's job to sort it and if he keeps picking the same players you'd start questioning those methods.
Moura and Dele have been woeful but he keeps picking them.

So we're already the Jose show and it only took 6 weeks. That's a ridiculous thing to do for the yellow card.
It's this short of stuff I was hoping we wouldn't get from him and that his time away would correct but it's not looking like that at the minute.

If this is how he's going to behave then he can do one, dont want that at our club.

So it seems we cannot judge Jose as he's been here two minutes, we are playing so many games that there is little to no training going on - more fitness and basic stuff so and the entire squad is Sunday League at best so . . .

When do you think it's reasonable to expect to see improvements?
- Couple of signings in January of top notch players who are Prem proven?
- Say March after getting his message across?
- Start of next season after a full pre season and some early signings?
- Total rebuild - probably 2 years?

There is no Mourinho 2.0, they'll be no change of style etc. He is what he is and will stick to what he knows. Now a case of seeing what we can achieve while he is here. Don't make top 4 this season followed by a summer where we struggle to bring in the players he wants and I can see it all kicking off resulting in him out the door not too long after.

So is the new manager bounce over or is this an over reaction to losing to Southampton?

It's the performance more than the result. We've played poorly 3 games on the trot with no sign of improvement, if anything we're getting worse. We've gone from a team who could play pass & move almost as good as anyone to one that can't string 2 passes together, can't create chances for toffee & can't find away to win.
