Juan needs a 18 month loan out to a team where he will play every week, even if its a team abroad.

Either he needs a loan or we need to suffer through some mistakes as we have with Sanchez and who we're now seeing the benefits off even though he's still rough we've seen that game after game is improving him to the point where I imagine most of us were happy to see him at Half Time. It's ridiculous to be writing Foyth off when he is given fuck all games to develop. Personally if we don't sign a RB then I'd keep Foyth and play him there and live with the mistakes because it won't be much worse than Aurier but with a significant upside. If we sign a new RB then I'd loan out Foyth to a Prem side.

I am so disappointed with him yesterday. Made Sanchez look like Ledley King! You know things are so bad when you are happy Sanchez is coming on....

We are so desperate for quality defenders to be brought in. NOW! Before Vertonghen and Alderwield have to be rolled out in zimmer frames ffs!

I agree with moving him to RB to give him game time, but unfortunately for him we don't have any capable LB who can bomb forward and offer an alternative attacking outlet. I don't think Mourinho would be happy with both fullbacks playing in a withdrawn role, which is why he's persisted with Aurier as the attacking RB and Verts as the 3rd CB/LB.

Well what was interesting was that he gave Sess that role yesterday after saying he wasn't ready, I'd love for Jose to change his mind tbh hopefully yesterday wasn't a one off.

Players like foyth need loaned out to championship clubs. He needs a full season to get some experience and toughen up. Playing one game every 6 months isnt going to develop him.

Couldn't agree more, theres a player in there just needs the right environment to learn in.

We can only hope. That was Poch's plan after all with Sess at LB and Foyth at RB. But knowing Mourinho, the moment Davies comes back from injury, he'll be back in that 3rd CB/LB position and that'll be the end of Verts at the club.

Think a lot of our players are suffering from Poch refusing to loan them out.

Players are going to make mistakes unless given the chance to learn. Mentioned in another post, we need new recruits and we also need a host of players out on loan getting experience ready to be blooded in.

Foyth is probably too of that list.

If its a loan it has to be in the Prem. Most of his errors are down to adapting to the league, going to another league wont help him rectify them.

You would have to think a club like Norwich would be thrilled to loan him for the rest of the season.

Like Jamie Redknapp said, everytime we see him he seems to make big mistakes.
I dont feel he can be trusted in defense.

We only see him once every 6 months and somehow he's expected to have kicked on in all those games of football he hasn't played.

Sess Toby Sanchez Foyth

We are making ridiculous errors in defence with players like Verts, Rose and Aurier so we might as well put our faith in young players, who will make mistakes too, but might iron them out of their game for next season. The other three will never be consistently good enough for us again.

We don’t have the players to defend well unless we employ defensive strategy but Mourinho has ruled that out. So let’s give quality youth some time to learn!

I agree with that four and the sentiment but if we're gonna do it for fuck sake put a defensive shield there that isn't just Ndombele on his own. At least give them a chance. Yesterday felt like putting a lot of players who don't usually get an opportunity to the slaughter without that shield in front of the defence.

Yes. I agree. We don’t have that player in our squad though. Defensive minded player in a midfield 2 (given his obsession with Alli).

I think the LB position and Sessegnon is more complicated than that. Rose saying why should he leave now when the manager is picking him and that he is not signing a new deal and leaving for free in 18 months was a massive mistake on his part. I think Levy has told Mourinho he is not to be picked and will again try to force Rose out again in January. Mourinho saying Sess is not ready for LB and is a more attacking player is him saying to Levy 'I need to buy a new LB then', especially as Davies is injured. I personally expect a CM and a LB in January despite the indication from ITK that there won't be signings in January.

Yeah who wouldn’t be thrilled to have a player gift the opposition goals and penalties every time he steps on to the pitch. That’s if he’s not getting sent off after 45 seconds.
