If Lloris doesn’t recover we need a new number one. We need 2 new fullbacks, 2 central midfielders, an Eriksen replacement another winger (if Mourinho wants to play with two) and aback up for Kane.

That’s without mentioning all the sales that are required.

It’s crazy how much work is needed and realistically it’s going to take at least 2 summer transfers windows.
Poch was right about the rebuild/reboot - it needs sorting, it's going to be hard and I don't know how much will be sorted. Fuck a duck, eh?

I like all 3 buys, we just needed 5 or 6 players in reality. Reeks of Arsenal to me, spend big on Ozil/Sanchez to appease fans/the manager while all the same knowing it really wasn't enough to compete truly.

I don’t want us to spend big, I just want us to bring in the right players and players that we need.

It reeks of a 'transfer committee' not doing what they were meant to do, all of them.

Game passed him by mostly.

I thought he did alright and he got stuck in. Ignoring the 1st half defence shambles and mistakes in the 2nd half, as per the Chelsea and Brighton games our forward players were running in treacle... little to no movement, stupid fancy flicks, way to casual and when they did get the ball they were passing it straight back to where it came from. Look at City yesterday for the 1st 75 mins or so, it was pass and move, pass and move... we only tend to go side ways or backwards.

I agree, he wasn't helped by how bad everyone else were but I expect someone with his technical ability to do more. He didn't get involved enough. It's early days in a new league I know but I just hoped he would have done more.

As per TN, you can see they both have qualities but to get the best out of them they need a DM behind them, movement ahead of them and competent full backs. I didn’t see anyone running passed Sessegnon when he was moved to LB but Aurier, Jesus Christ he was horrendous.

He’s obviously a bit low on confidence at the moment and is still wanting a bit too much time on the ball that you don’t get in the PL, but there is a player in there. Lovely little chip over the top for Dele.

To me, he is clearly Eriksen's replacement. I see him as the playmaker behind the front three and he's certainly shown glimpses of that today.

The issue with the team that started today, as good as it looked on paper, was that you can only play either one of Eriksen or Lo Celso. Whenever GLC is pushed out to the right, he tends to disappear. With CE all but gone, Mourinho must bite the bullet and must look towards the future and keep playing Lo Celso regularly.

Yeah, he's got potential but I think he'd make a better CB than a DM. He's just not quite dynamic enough for me. He's still young and learning and while he may become a good player, I think we need someone who's already there, rather than potential, in what is an important position for us.
fair, any thoughts on finished product DM the club should be targeting?

Glimpses of what he can do. Clearly better with players either side of him. And with his lack of fitness and game time he won't be that sharp which for a slight, small built guy won't help him getting away from opposition.

I expect to see much more of him (given game time)

I thought he showed up, but seemed to tire a bit in the second half. Got caught dallying on it after dribbling past a player a couple of times but those were the only negatives for me.

On the plus side, I thought he did really well at shielding the ball when receiving it and released it early. He didn't try to do too much when all he needed to do was keep it simple. He played a good if understated game.

Was I watching the same player? I thought he was dreadfulI ponderous on the ball offered little of the ball looked miles of the price being asked for him. It was difficult to work out where he was supposed to be playing. I lnow he hasn’t been playing and it’s difficult but for the amount of money being asked I would expect a cite more to his game than we have seen today. Do we still have the option to say no thanks?

Disagree massively. If he offered little off the ball then how did he manage to get into two shooting positions from lay offs? How did he manage to dink that wonderful ball over for Alli?

He lost the ball a few times but he's adjusting to the pace of the prem. However his movement at times was very good. He's finding his rhythm
