I think he looked quite good today.

Would be good to see him with a proper defensive midfielder alongside him (not Dier lol).

Didn’t help that we hardly passed them the ball. So many times we play that outlet pass to Aurier and he loses it.

aurier didnt make our midfield suck. look, those three are all 50 million + players. they got better inn the second half but they shouldve bossed Norwich from the first whistle

Yeah I was pleasantly surprised that he lasted the whole 90 minutes too.

I didn’t say he did. I’m saying our defense playing hoof balls and easy outlet passes to Aurier makes them useless when we don’t give them the ball enough.

Anyone who can't see he is quality needs to give their head a wobble, he came to life 2nd half and was very impressive playing two positions, holding and driving us forward

He's a funny player, he looks like he's going to give the ball away a lot of times and just with one movement gets in control of it. He showed today what he could be for us, the driving force from midfield. I think he'll be best with pacey wide attackers like Son and Moura (or the dream of Bale) to slide balls through too. Also needs to be given a bit more license to get forward but can only do that with a holding midfield alongside him.

In a season or two we’ll look back on a lot of the shite that has been spouted in this thread in the same way that we all look at that old “Modric rated the worst signing in La Liga” poll that was taken in January of the season he moved to Madrid.

Ndombele absolutely oozes ability and all he needs is time to come to grips with the physical demands of the PL (hardly an unforgivable sin for a new signing) and to be paired with a quality DM. He’s an incredible talent.

Glimpses of the player we want and absolutely need him to be tonight. Breaking the lines, powering the ball up the pitch.

Get him settled and fit to see more of that

The posts about his weight were embarrassing.

Will be considered the second best midfielder in the prem next year behind De Bruyne. We have 2/3rds of an amazing young midfield unfortunately that last third is sooo incredibly important.

A good 90 (+7) minutes and he got better as the game went on. Didn't look tired at any point to me. He has the perfect combination of picking up the ball, shielding it until he's got space to move into and a couple of seconds later he's fifteen yards up the pitch with the opposition backpeddling. Can spot a pass and deliver it and we've seen he can finish when the chances come. No doubts about him, just needs games and better organisation behind him and he will be immense for us.

Loved the rabona. When you're as good as he is a bit of arrogance in your game is no bad thing.

Both he and Lo Celso will be great players for us I'm sure, just need time and the right formation/players around them to help them shine
