I saw them in 2017 and they were great. Unfortunately the view at the London stadium was crap.

I was looking at the giant video screen all the time.

Great news for the new stadium but also great for the area. Getting to go to a concert a few stops away on the train is gonna be brilliant.

According to a GNR forum (was trying to get some idea of ticket prices) I was reading yesterday, an unnamed Live Nation worker, has stated that If demand is there for the Friday, then The stadium has also been reserved for the Saturday and a 2nd show will be announced (Basicly what they did in 2017 at the London Stadium). My thought was the 30th of May, is also Champions league Final day, so if (When!) we get there again, there'll be no beam back to the stadium this year!

Well if you want a band to play in your stadium that was very delayed and plagued by wiring issues i don't suppose you can go better than one with Axl Rose in it.

yep. No point turning up on time for them. Give it an hour after the official start time and you’ll probably be ok. A strange choice to kick off concerts at the stadium. It won’t run smoothly.

Pretty sure they were bang on time for the Olympic stadium concerts and that they were finished just after 10.30

Ive only seen them once unfortunately and that was at Reading Festival. They were an hour and a half late that day so finished early which was a real pain.

Tried to watch them as a kid back in their heyday but it was hard to get tickets then as they toured Europe less I think.

Different times. They've been doing this tour flawlessly for over 2 years now.

Golden Circle is £177

Yeah, I'm not paying that for any band... especially when you see the size of those things now.
Those areas have gone from being "fanclub" only areas to being all about how much extra cash the band can earn.
Some bands go as far as having multiple versions, Gold, Diamond, Platinum and so on. Ends up with just a bunch of rich people down at the front because they can afford it, while proper fans end up half a mile back.

For this gig we've gone with the cheap seats in the South Stand.

Is it true cheapest tickets for that show were £100+?

I paid £95 per ticket + £10 service charge per ticket to sit in the stands.

The music was great and Axl Rose was fine but the price was ridiculous for a seat in block 240.

They are crazy prices but the concert at London Stadium was most fun gig I have been to for a long time. Played for 3 hrs, all the hits and still sounded great

Milton Keynes Bowl, 1993...Axl could pull off wearing lycra shorts.
That was GnR.
I don't wanna see GnR now,
My cousin, as a 17 year old went to see them in Slane in 1992, and went to the gig in 2017 at the same venue. He said 2017 was better, because he never expected to see most of the band together again. I went 2 years ago also. They were excellent, don't write them off.

But that's a debate for another thread.....

It was. Got my tickets this week for Faith no More too. Saw them at Brixton on the Real Thing tour and also on their come back a few years ago. Can't wait.
I didn't realise that they were back on the road. Did you go to the Brixton academy concert that was recorded for the You Fat B*stards album?

I remember reading a review of the Slane castle concert.
