That performance and result was for all those spurs and other fans who said Jose would bring us boring defensive football, anyone who said that has never properly watched or understood Jose teams.

As I posted before:
-his first Chelsea team was exciting
-his Real Madrid team scored over 116 goals in the league which was a record
-Inter Milan scored decent amount of goals they just are remembered for one incredibly effective resilent defensive display down to 10 men away to barcelona
-his 2nd Chelsea team won the league and scored tons of goals

Great performance great win!

I don't speak for all fans.

That said I feel a common theme that most don't really care if we play some defensive football and win shit.

We're in a winning mood and not terribly bothered if the football isn't going to be eye ball popping amazing for a bit. So long as we are finally getting some trophies I don't really care.

Plus as you say Mourinho ball has never been as bad as people would try to make out.

Just on the way back home from the game.

Well, that was nice.

Maybe it’s time to start singing Mourinho’s name?

It's very encouraging, especially with Mourinho not yet even adding personal that he feels necessary. Just need to weed out performances like Wednesday's against United and see this same hunger and intensity in all matches.

Matches like that of the one against United and (even though under a different manager) against Brighton, Watford etc should never really occur.

Exactly - it really grates reading fan comments talking as if he's hapless and useless to the team. I think he's exactly the kind of player we need.

He's the kind of utility player every manager loves - can do a job anywhere on the pitch and has a non-stop engine. Jose also loves big strong midfielders.

Poch must be wondering what happened. Sissoko couldnt score to save his life - now Jose starts and he is scoring goals freely. I doubt it will last...but we can all dream!

I just wonder if we ran a poll for the most negative poster on here, who would win it?

I was watching the George Weah v Udinese (I think) goal when he dribbles from his own area this week. Can’t believe I saw Son do it today.

Well that was £50 well spent. Great game and so happy to have witnessed that Son goal in the flesh. Whole team played well though generally. It’s a good day. COYS

Because it then gives them the platform to pick out some negatives, and have a moan.
SC fucking loves a good old moan, and a silly little thing like a 5-0 win won't stop some of them.
If we were to win 42-0 at the Emirates, with every player including the subs scoring a hattrick, and with the day culminating in their stadium actually imploding into submolecular dust, there'd be someone on this forum saying something like, 'yeah, but Sissoko still can't pivot the middle of the game with a double Winks' or something along those lines.
