He's playing so well under Mourinho so far. It does raise my suspicions, though... was he sulking a bit under Pochetino or does Mourinho really had the magic touch to get him going again?
Poch was not playing him in this same role this year. I think Poch was worried too much about possession and wanted more of a slow build up which hindered Dele.

Second most assists in the premier league this season behind De Bruyne.

Just seen that. Very surprising as he has always been lacking in that area, as have most of our forwards bar Alli or Eriksen. I hope it continues and that his goal scoring doesn't take too much a hit now that he's playing wider.

Absolutely fantastic goal

BUT

Terrible interview from Dele on MOTD

Said maybe we were too arrogant, over confident. Sloppy and a bit on our heels!

Shocking indictment of this group of players atm

The better he gets, the deeper Harry seems to play, he spends more time as a AM than he does up front since Dele has been playing so well

I’m very glad he’s finding a great run of form but I’m sorry I don’t think we should be building our team around him as it seems we are doing under Jose.

Apart from the goal he wasn't good, like the others.

He didn't exactly help Winks and Sissoko in the middle, didn't track back.
Was way to high up when we defended, I thought that was a reason for playing Dele as a 10? That he could also help the CMs out. Guess i'm wrong.

On the attack he never showed for the ball, didn't create anything and didn't take the game by hand.

See this is what we get when we don't play a proper 10 or Ndombele in the middle. Instantly when Ndombele & Eriksen came on, we worked the ball much better.

That's not alone on Dele, but also a huge part of Sissoko / Winks who can't even dominate a midfield against a League Two side.

Wonder goal yes, incredible touch. That aside don't think he played well and is actually part of the problem as it's like playing 4-2-4 when he's so close to Kane. Add to the fact that Sissoko was covering Aurier most of the time we had so many gaps.

I think Dele needs to play in a front 3 if he's going to play so we can have an extra midfielder.

Lucas should have been replaced by another cm for the last game.

I don't see how we are building a team around him?!?

We are letting a 4-2-3-1 become a 4-4-2 so he can tap in a few. He plays further forward than Son.

Midfield is our biggest problem and he is a big big part of that problem.

A few tap-ins or a article by Kilpatrick that talks about Ballon dóur dosen´t change that.

This.

Dele isn't going to play positionally similar to Eriksen, like a hook. He's a second striker, or hole player as we called them in the 90's. Sort of how Teddy used to play. Raumdauter I believe the German's call it.

As such we need to change the team setup to accommodate that mercurial creativity and goals.

A few tap ins? behave... I get you're trying to make a point but his goal yesterday was sensational and not many players are capable of it let alone down playing it as a 'tap in' even his goal against Bournemouth with the touch on his chest and finish was top quality.
