One thing Mourinho hasn't been able to stop is the amount of shots we let the opposition take at our goal. Saturday was a prime example of how it was under posh. Bournemouth players were allowed to dribble unopposed numerous times and get a shot off in the first half. Had their shooting been more accurate we could of been in real trouble.

Plenty of their shots, especially first half, were long range speculative efforts.

The end of the game again will have annoyed him though but its only been 10 days. We will tighten up. He'll know what he has to do to get it done too.

I hope so. We need to work on something to be tighter at the back without it impacting on our attacking play.

I read on another site that Alerwerield was instructed to stop the long pass (normally to Dele ) who would be anticipating this move .
Obviously I don't know if this is true but it is a fact that Toby has not been making this long pass for at least the last year .
It would go part to explain Dele fall off in form
It could be part of the reason Toby wants out as apparently he was not on board with Poch on this one.
Playing Dele out of position is part of his poor form .
It was said that Poch wanted to play out from the back and thru midfield with no more long passes.
I don't know how much truth there is in this but it would explain the way we have been playing for the last year.
I wonder if Poch got carried away and wanted to play like Man City who knows.
But it would explain why Alderwerield is disgruntled and explain why Dele had stopped making these runs to anticipate a Toby pass .

Remember grammar saves lives, the difference between:

Let’s eat Grandma.
and
Let’s eat, Grandma.
I had a pm from one poster having a go at me for correcting his grammar the other day, and he disabled the reply option so I couldn’t come back to him.

To my mind correcting grammar is a staple and time honoured SC tradition and should be taken in the spirit with which it is usually intended.

I agree! Correcting grammar goes hand in hand with this place and rightfully so!

Well Dele wasn't really playing that high up the pitch for the past 2 seasons under Poch as he prefered Lucas or Son alongside Kane, neither of which have Dele's gift for making those types of runs. Why hoof it if there's noone to get on the end of it?

I completely agree with the sentiment though. I don't think Toby wanted to leave simply because he couldn't punt it upfield anymore, but rather because Poch's new system quite simply wasn't very effective and didn't get the best out of our players. Poch was so determined to change our system and reinvent the wheel that he didn't stop to consider whether he should.

A few years ago a poster made a silly little typo so I made a silly little joke about it.

He sent me a long ranting email. I sent him a reply saying no offence was intended but such a reaction to a silly joke was strange.

Didn’t see him post again after that.
