Not sure what you mean. The alternative being he is showing more in training but Mourinho is ignoring it? He'll get his chance if he earns it I'm sure, people need to relax.
You said if players are showing more than him in training they deserve to play. I said I agree, IF that's true.

Mourinho has already said new foreign signings take time to bed in. He's not going to risk someone with 10 Prem minutes under his belt in his defining first few games. He says he was a good buy and what a bonus to have him in the second half of the season.

What the fuck is going on with GLC? According to informed pundits, he's one of the most highly rated young midfielders in the world. Yet he's only getting a couple of minutes at the end of the game.

Most teams in the PL would kill for a signing like him, but for whatever reason we spent all that time signing him and aren't playing him.

He must either be awful in training, or Mourinho sees him as a loanee first and foremost. I wish Poch had started him in games so he had a chance to show what he can do.

I have a feeling Mourinho is playing the people he knows well and has been watching or even playing against for the last 3 years. The newer players he'll be bringing through more slowly.

So Mourinho has been with us for less than two weeks and the media is already trying to start up some drama.

Not surprising in the least, I should say. But I'm not worried, Lo Celso should find himself lucky to be training under a coach of Mourinho's caliber and experience.

It is a fact that we paid 14m loan fee for LoCelso...
Levy is not going to waste it. He is our player IMO. With so many games coming up I fully expect him to play 500+ minutes at least by Jan. If he does that he will show his potential.

IF that article is true it will be a total disaster as Lo Celso is a top quality player with huge potential.

Wouldn't surprise me though, in fact it would be typical Mourinho given what happened with De Bruyne, Salah, even Mata at Chelsea.

I think it’s pure speculation at this point. De Bruyne and Salah were unproven and completely different cases, so we will just have to see. It isn’t obviously where Lo Celso would play in a José 4-2-3-1 (given Dele in the 10 role) but it’s a long season and he could easily fit into a 4-3-3 or diamond

Lo Celso and Ndombele were starting matches before your arrival, now they're not, is it a case of them having to earn your trust?

Not my trust. It is not about my trust and I know them very, very well. It is not like I don't know them, I know the qualities they have, I know why the club bought them, I know what the club saw in them. I think good buys. I think good decisions and of course they will play with me. I always think that people who come from abroad, from different leagues need more time to adapt to the Premier League, but great potential and I am more than happy to have them.

I don’t think you can defend Jose for missing De Bryne and Salahs potential - even if totally unproven it’s still a massive error to not have identified their world class potential when he presumably saw them daily in training

my hope is rather than saying it wasn’t his fault he has learned from those mistakes and we get the benefit of that here and applied to GLC etc

from the outside it is difficult as we haven’t seen much of him since he joined but even in flashes he looks a talent

So far I give Mourinho the doubt that he wants to use the players he has seen and analyzed loads of times while at Chavs and United.
I hope Tanguy, Gio and Ryan grab their chance as soon as it comes and give us additional quality. I can see the difficulties though when most of our squad is fit and healthy. Lamela, probably another very good fit for Joses RW role, needs to find a place somewhere too.

I just hope we don't sacrifice anyone of the new arrivals, especially Gio, for Eriksen.

The festive period should show who is trusted by Mourinho when he needs to use a wider range of our squad.

We talked about it to death on here - Poch saying players need time and won’t be ready for months to play. But now Mourinho says similar and gets a free pass. Have I got that right?

I did think the subject was nonsense and players should be able to play straight away if they’re good enough. But if both Poch and Mourinho have said similar then I (and others on here) must be wrong.

John Terry recently came out said KDB and Salah weren’t good enough for Chelsea at the time.
To be fair, Robben and Lampard and titles and trophies galore suggested they weren’t the worst decisions Jose ever made.

I didn’t defend Mourinho for missing their potential. If said it’s not the same situation as Lo Celso

There's difference between situation of Poch & Mourinho. Poch always does this with any new player.
Mourinho has come in at a difficult time, where the results are the key. So, its understandable if he wants to be conservative on new players. Jose also said he will start to rotate a bit given he feels problem with us is more physical. Accordingly, he is already integrating Ndombele. I also expect the same with Lo Celso. I do fear for Sess given he is not a starter anyway.

The article originated in Marca... What could they possibly want with publishing an article like that? Hmmn, I wonder...

Agree on KDB but never saw Salah doing what he is doing now.
