He's strutting around the place again now he has a bit confidence back which is great to see. I wonder if we will see him back to winding up the opposition again under Mourinho - he has it in him?

He managed to wind Bournemouth up enough yesterday that he received a kick off the ball for his trouble which started a mini flare up.

I saw the handbags but wasn't quite sure what caused it. It's interesting to see Kane putting himself about a bit more also.

I think what Dele has done superbly is show that the majority of these pundits are completely fucking guessing their way through. They didn't bother to analyse the situation, They didn't take into account his injuries, didn't take into account he was being played out of position. Only Carragher noted that he was more of a 2nd striker rather than a midfielder. Instead they focused on whether he's lost his bite, his upbringing, whether he spends too much time on instagram. Dele needed 2 things, to be used correctly and a run of games without injury to find his stride, He's an absolute joy to watch when he's playing like he is at the moment and I still think he has a lot of things in his game which he can tighten up and I'm so glad we get to watch him continue to develop with us.

He's playing so well under Mourinho so far. It does raise my suspicions, though... was he sulking a bit under Pochetino or does Mourinho really had the magic touch to get him going again?

Looks to me like Mourinho has sat Dele down, asked him where and how he wants to play, and let him get on with it. He's got a smile back on his face and our fast transition play from back to front is where Dele excels.

I doubt he even needed to ask him. It's obvious that he's a much better player when he's playing further forward and close to Kane.

IMO he'd of found form eventually under Poch so I wouldn't say Dele was sulking under Poch....no way.

What I would like to see is the dele nutmeg come back into play. That gets the opposition player wound up that dele has took the micky out of them.

Maybe the manager should work out how to integrate then both in the team?

They used to play well enough together. Maybe it’s the tactics that are the problem. For me it’s easy, Son our wide on the left cutting in, Dele off Kane and getting as close as he possibly can to him. I bet we score more goals playing like that. We just need to get an industrious right back to bomb up and down the right to give us width that side.

Son Dele

If I could see it (a mere fan) and Mourinho is now being praised for our attacking play, it begs the question as to why Poch couldn’t see it. All very strange saying he used to play him as I suggested and as Mourinho now is.

On the Sunday Supplement show they suggested that Dele was moved to accommodate Son playing more centrally. Not sure if there's anything in that but it was their theory.

Well, Son and Kane definitely played up top together in games this season. Why he didn’t just revert to his old tactics was baffling as it gets the best out of three players rather than two. Probably one thing that was frustrating the players behind the scenes.

It's pretty obvious that's what happened. We've played a large number of games over the last couple of years with two up top either in diamond in 3-5-2, and I don't recall Dele ever being up top alongside Kane

Maybe Son doesn't like playing wide? Cant see that though as he's so effective there.

That's hardly a theory, that is what happened. Even when playing 4-2-3-1 Son or Moura were always the ones playing closest to Kane. I guess Poch likes the idea of pace to be combined with Kane.
