Oh I agree about fixtures. Just not the fact we need to win to be in the race. It's 6 points, its December, it's nothing.
Yeah I suppose. Chelsea were really strong in the first half of last season too and tailed off after christmas, plus the form of players like Mount is already starting to fade a bit. Hopefully it will all come crashing down for them next year and we won't even need some ridiculous run of form to catch them up.

It’ll be interesting to see how they react to a couple of defeats on the bounce too

Hopefully we can rack up our goal difference with our next win, could come down to fine margins but as long as we keep winning as many games as possible it wont matter

Not sure why it is a problem for people to point that we have played 5 of our 7 away games against the best in the league.

Sometimes have surprisingly good or bad starts but once you see who they have played it makes sense.

We have a lot of work to do but the fact that 5 of the hardest games are behind us can only be a good thing.

I really hope he sorts out the defence, because when we play those 5 other teams at home we need to stop conceding, because even poor teams are getting 2 goals against us

My worry is that the tiredness that seems to affect us in the last 20 minutes of games is going to cost us with seven PL games in next four weeks. It will have been noted by other managers and is there to be exploited.

Chelsea have been very open in most games, which is great when your winning but start losing and it becomes a problem. Which leads to tweaks in team tactics and shape and who knows where it could go from there...

is it tiredness? I am
It sure but whatever is has cost us all season. Last year I criticised us for starting so slowly that we kept giving the game away early. This season we have led so many games then failed to win. The fact that we have got three goals in the last two league games before the meltdown has got us wins ... in so many others we were one or two up. Now if that is the best way for this team to play then OK but it does mean we can’t afford to score less then three goals in any game. Makes for exciting football but not good for my nerves

I've got that same energy and belief about us again. Haven't had it since 2017/18 season.

We'll finish in the top 4

Great that the battle is back on.

Away to Utd midweek while Chelsea are home to Villa.

We started this morning in fifth place with four teams who could go above us playing today.
So far three of them have played and none of them succeeded in going above us, we are still fifth just one to go so not a bad day eh? :)

If Leicester and UTD drop points along with Chelsea and Arsenal it will be a great weekend. Tbh, even if UTD and Leicester win it’s still been a good weekend for us.

Am not so sure it is tiredness, think it is more mental. As soon as we concede one we just panic and start to give the opposition encouragement to attack, rather than do what is necessary to close down the game. The silver lining is that if there is one thing that Mourinho knows how to do it is just that. Would be more concerned if we were struggling to score.

Excellent results for us this weekend but by god are those ****s Leicester so jammy. It’s like they got a force pulling them exactly like their title winning season, so lucky.

Amazing weekend for results, just the Leicester outcome a disappointment:

And we’re suddenly looking much healthier in the league. I don’t think we can catch City or Leicester, the former has too much experience and quality, the latter too much bounce- but fourth spot is very much on

Almost perfect set of results for us so far this weekend.

Shame Leicester haven’t dropped points but every other contender for the top 4 has, bar Liverpool.
