Think of tips and tricks Parrot and even Harry could pick up from a world beater like Ibrahimovic. He’d be a great option off the bench too. Depends if he’s fit enough really though.

Would obviously love Bale back.

I’d live us to sign Zlatan but it won’t happen. No way he would come as basically a back up striker for Kane ..

Madrid picked up a chunk of the wages when they loaned Raul to Shalke and Casillas to Porto. The media in Spain are frothing at the mouth over him posing with that "Wales, Golf, Madrid" flag and his position may well be untenable. If it doesn't make any difference in how much he earns, surely he'd at least be open to the possibility of returning to Spurs where he'll be loved, and get to work with a manager he gets on with, rather than stay at Madrid and rot.

The biggest task we have short term is getting the dressing room settled again to ensure that we're all pulling together. Therefore, the single biggest mistake you could make at this stage is bringing in the mother of all rotten apples - Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Just... No

I cannot for the life of me understand why we would consider the guy (Ibra). He will want so much money for at most 18 months football and will play backup to Harry Kane for all of that time. Zlatan does play second string to anyone.

Bale is more likely, given how his relationship at Madrid is even further down the shitter. The rumours of them just paying him off could help as they were being talked about last summer too.

Here we go again, you lot make me laugh, get linked to a top player like Ibra and you don't want him at the club, you've been asking for a backup player for ages and yet when we're linked to a good one you don't want him...you're actually mental...I just can't...:D

People need to realise there's a good chance our transfer targets will be completely different under Mourinho. Won't necessarily be solely young high-potential players anymore.

Normally these short term deal suggestions are silly, but on this one I wouldn't actually mind it. What's the worst that could happen? We only have one actual senior striker now (Son/Moura occasionally fill in on a good day, given any run of games though they show its not their forte) so just getting someone in is a plus, and he'd come in not as first choice. I've seen he's been offered a 6 month + 1 year option at Milan...... We offer the same, if he's completely past it wave him goodbye in the summer with absolutely no harm done. What we would get is someone with the best resume around who could still very probably teach Kane and Parrott a few tricks as to No.9 play, and you'd be fairly sure with his personality he'd be determined to push Kane and keep him on his toes.

We want top players, but not like, top top players.

They might actually make us win something.

Or even worse, make us win something even though sometimes we have to play defensive to get the result we need on the day.

The horror.

Could actually see Bale on loan in January as a possibility now

Well Bale will want t start, so what’s your front 3? Lucas will want out soon and tbf he needs a run of games imo.
My front six would look like this:

First choice:

-------New DM--------
Lo Celso---Ndombele
--Bale--Kane--Son--

Second choice:

---------Dier--------
-Sissoko-----Winks-
Lucas--Parrot--Dele

Competing in Europe requires plenty of rotation so there'd be no shortage of opportunities for any player listed. I could also see Jose transition Sissoko into the right back position and either get Eriksen back on side or bring in an Eriksen replacement to provide more creativity from the No. 8 position with that second-choice group.

I completely agree with you. I wouldn't care if they don't sign. But nor would I be livid if they did. For the reasons you mention. Plus, the guy is a perennial winner. A closer. And perhaps the club and the players need one or two veterans like him around who can imbue that attitude into our squad. 'Cos frankly, none of them are 'winners'. And like you said, it's not like he'd be relied upon all that much. My guess is he'd either come off the bench for Kane in the last 10 or 15 mins after the win is pretty much wrapped up or conversely, throw him out there if we are losing or drawing during the last 10 or 15 mins. I certainly don't think he'd be that much worse than Llorente.

When looking at Right Backs, have there been many in here who’ve mentioned Lukas Klostermann?
Plays at RB Leipzig, and has racked up 125+ apps in the last 6 years, with them since Div.2, and has 26 Bundesliga apps in each of the previous 2 seasons...take a look below...

6ft2, 23 years old and a contract expiring in 2021 (although rumoured to be in negotiations!) Top flight and CL experience too!
Has rapid pace, good dribbling, an eye for goal, creates chances and can actually defend!

That video shows a nice blend of attacking qualities as well as defensive work, also snippets of him playing both RB and LB, as he has played both (also played RCB in a 3). Now has 8 caps for Germany, where he is used a lot as a wingback, but plays in a 4 for RBL.
Some nice finishes too, really composed and can chip in with on average 3-4 goals a season.

Leipzig didn’t even pay £1m and with his contract situation I think he could be available for £20m-£25m.
With him and Nubel at Schalke, I think they could be 2 young additions to provide us with some real quality without breaking the bank!

I would love it if we brought Bale back, but I don't get why people suddenly think this is a possibility again? Appointing Mourinho doesn't mean Levy will suddenly be willing to spunk £500k a week on a 30 year old. No one in Europe is going to pay that, hence him being bound for China!

Because Madrid might be desperat to get rid and could pay some of his wages just to not have him in Spain mocking them all the time.

Someone in Europe IS paying him £500k per week. We could pay half that to take him on loan.
