Almost right, Joe Lewis wanted him from then until now, and ofcourse Daniel was in agreement. But driven by Joe Lewis. And he has a very good budget, with assurances his signings will be done in good enough time. And summer window, before they return for pre-season. His key signings that is. I expect from educated early guess, he will go in for two of his countrymen.
blooming frustrating Herc. If Danny had followed Poch's v similar requests (and your points which were in line with that) we would likely have a better squad, Poch and be in the top 4....ah well none of us own the club so what the frack can we do!

I suppose the other hand is they'd been told by Pochettino he wanted them moved on.
Speaking to a Leeds fan, they said that Clarke was good last season until he got a concussion during a match and collapsed or something since then his form has been poor

When we made our bid they felt we overpaid and happy to get that much for him

if you keep saying you will eventually convince yourself
That works both ways...

I’m with you. I know he’s going to break me heart but I can’t help but like it. I clearly like my managers like I like my women
In their fifties and from Portugal...?

No money to spend in Jan according to Hynter. Lol.

And? Is it to be supposed that if true, Mourinho didn't know it when he signed up?

No money to spend in January? Or no money for a massive overhaul? stupid guardian article. I find it very hard to believe that we are penniless, and couldn't afford to bring in one or two players in January. And if it is indeed the case that we have zero funds for players now or in the summer, or ever again... Maureen would not have taken this gig.
Nail on the head.

He walks over to tananga in the longer video on the app and says to his other coach “he marked Ronaldo (something inaudible) him”.

He must of been talking about our preseason game. Now that kind of detail is going to impress a set of players. There’s no way he didn’t do that for an effect.
This to me demonstrates why he's been so successful - he knows that tiny gestures can ring true in players minds. We always have to remember that the majority of these guys are still young and not just relatively - actually; most of them are still in their twenties. It never seems like it at the time, but it's only after you get into your forties that you realise just how malleable you still were at that age. Gestures like that, especially from a figure of authority coached in the experience and success he's had will carry a lot of weight in a young person's mind.

On the internet, all games are televised! :jimlad:
In Soviet Russia games televise you!!!

Can see Toby and/or Jan staying as he likes experienced CBs. I would be happy with that. Eriksen & Rose - thanks for the memories but time for a change. Lloris is an interesting one. I personally think he's been pretty awful for a while and should have been replaced in the summer. Having said that we may hopefully be less inclined to constantly f*** about with it at the back with a new boss, so maybe he can concentrate on what he does best which is shot stopping. On balance though I would probably replace, and I'd defo give the captaincy to Kane. Like others have said I can see Dele regaining his spark which is exciting. I think Aurier, Moura, KWP and possibly Lamela may fall by the wayside.

absolutely, you wouldnt ?

Do you work somewhere where you like everyone ?

It’s not about liking, it’s about a good, mutually respectful working relationship

I have definitely quit jobs where I liked the company and in theory what I was doing but I just couldn’t gel with my manager and I found it a chore

Similarly I’ve stayed at companies that are not necessarily my passion on paper but the working relationship with my manager energised me and it was a pleasure to go in

All jobs are jobs after all when you do them every day. The working environment is a part of that and if you are not on the same page as your manager, something will eventually have to give

I just hope he has a chat with the contract boys and asks if they intend to sign or not. You'll know where they are standing over the next month. In particular, Eriksen. If he doesn't commit, jm will essentially castigate him out of the squad until he can be tossed overboard in January. Toby and Verts is a slightly harder issue, as we don't have much cover at cb. So he may have to be pragmatic.

Indeed.

He already said, doing punditry, that he would have sold any players that didn't want to be here.

IMO, we are Dybala-Bruno Fernández-Dias-a new goalie away from another CL final appearance. But high chance a winner this time.

That would be the best ever January window and cost upwards of £200M of fees alone. Never happening. Not even in a summer window.

So much has been written and said about Mourinho. One thing is as clear as day, and excuse the pun, but in the end all Spurs fans should be united on this.

If it all goes terribly wrong, and to make matters worse, we end up being the only side he's ever managed that doesn't win silverware and it all ends in the same acrimonious way it does with all the other clubs he has left there can and should be no doubt whatsoever that this should all be on Levy's shoulders !

There can and should be no excuses this time for Levy, no one at this club should be trying to even defend Levy for this, if it all goes pear shaped and we don't even see any of the silver lined good bits.

I hope it doesn't happen pan out this way, and I'm not even saying it will, I'm simply saying that there is a risk that it could. It's not as if Levy can say he didn't go into this with his eyes shut, or he can say that he was either completely or even mildly unaware of what could possibly go wrong, the entire bloody world in this case knows only too well what could go wrong.

I think this is as bold as Levy has gone in any gamble, and there can and should be no hiding place if the Mourinho gamble fails so badly here and Poch succeeds so well elsewhere. If that happens we will quite rightly face the full force and ridicule and eternal told you so's that any football club has ever faced.

Only time will tell what will happen.....let's all hope, me included that it doesn't begin, happen and end in the way many know it could.

So by the same token if we do win a trophy then we all have to accept it's all on Levy's back and give him the credit?
One thing that is now pretty obvious is that Mourinho isn't going to get the usual honeymoon period so let's hope he hits the ground running with a win at West Ham.
