Mourinho seems like a short-sighted appointment. Can any of us see a situation where he stays longer than 1.5/2 years? All the while, what kind of toxicity will he spew out there when he (undoubtedly) isn't backed to his liking in the transfer market or bores us all to death all while making the environment at the stadium even more lame?

I would have rather seen us stick with Poch, relieve him of his duties in the summer and actually go for someone that has some sort of medium-to-long term outlook at the club.

But, in the end, I've always found great joy in seeing Mourinho get sacked, so at least this time I get to look forward to it being at the hands of the club I love!

For every cloud, fellas!

Im trying to think objectively here - maybe 1.5 to 2 years is all we need from him? Then we move on to someone more younger but more established... boost the perception of our club even further between now and then? Whilst hoping to get us a trophy or two and solidifying us as a top four team?

There will definitely be a new manager bounce... but doesnt mean it will last the entire two years...

Ill back Jose if he comes in but hopefully he has become invigorated, updated his methods and has a less 'pragmatic' approach and more exciting one

I think it'll be a marked difference from the established squad members.

I would say if Mourinho comes in then nothing is off the table, including Eriksen doing a 180.

Eriksen is going to play like Scott Parker. You heard it here first

He's refreshed and motivated I reckon.

The respect he commands amongst players is insane. They'll all feel ten feet taller.

He's tactically very good, exceptionally experienced on the biggest stage/games and above all is a serial winner.

A real chance for us to hit the next level.

Welcome Jose.

Imagine being a player that bought into a long term project, and while great fun, consistently fell short of silverware. Imagine as time goes on you get more and more frustrated with weird tactical decisions and in game management.

That's where the majority of our players seem to be at right now, and not just the wantaways.

Now tell me if there is a much better appointment for those players than Jose Mourinho, serial winner, world class tactician and the grandmaster of shithousing and game management.

For Jose he might be walking into the hungriest dressing room since the first time he walked into Chelsea. I think he wants this underdog success story and it could just be a perfect match (for the 2-3 years before it inevitably all goes up in flames.

He leaves them with more trophies than they had when he arrived. Every single club.
So he can leave a few players upset.
Boo fucking Hoo.
It's fuck all about upsetting players. If he doesn't win anything or finish consistently in the top four, and that's a small if, we're going to be in a much worse state as club than we are now. I'm not saying it's the wrong move, and after sacking Poch we need to make a statement signing, but it's still a big gamble that could have really bad consequences. If this goes wrong I don't think any big name manager will want to go near us with Levy in charge. If that doesn't worry you then I don't know what will.

How can anyone fault Levy’s ambition. He’s gone out and got one of the best manager the worlds ever seen. He is Elite as you can get. Sky sports wanked about the fact they got him as a pundit ffs. This is amazing.

For Levy to go for Mourinho surely shows he means business. Mourinho doesn’t settle for second best..
Not confirmed yet ...

Fabrizio Romano saying it's Jose, and everyone on Reddit is taking it to be the word of god. Do Romano and Jose have close ties?

Mourinho - I’m sure someone posted on here a month or so ago that JM had found a new enthusiasm for the game, taken his time off to refresh his tactics, approach etc and rebuilt his coaching team. If this is the case and he’s our new manager then 1) we need to back him, and 2) be optimistic about the future based on his new game plan.
It was me and I agree with both your points.

I've said it before. The next club he goes to is in for some success. I hope that's us
