I think the new manager needs to get an extra 10% out of our existing squad. That’s the margin between success and failure in the Prem. That’s not to say it’s easy, but we’ve got a better squad than the last 12 months might suggest, IMO. Much better.

Think people need to remember that if the squad have lost faith in the manager there is no coming back from it. No club can clear out the vast majority of the squad so this is the right call.

This is how I see it. We can talk about rebuilds, giving time etc but once the squad is against the manager there is almost no going back.
