I don't blame the club for offering Nando less. He was on very good money (probably where you expect around 10 PL goals). As useful as he was in the latter stages of the Champions League I think his time is now gone (for that kind of money).
I just want Poch to use Parrot if we want to mix it up upfront.

Agreed - Parrott is at a tricky point in his career now, ultimately it needs to involve him stepping up to a higher standard and playing regularly.

Given where we are/how we're playing, you'd figure it's time to throw caution to the wind and get him in the team, as a minimum he should be available to freshen up the frontline on occasion. Couple of big things working against this though - 1. Lucas and/or Son are more likely first picks to change up the frontline and 2. Kane isn't really leading the line for us (England game last night was a good example of how you can get Kane in better goalscoring areas). I see Parrott needing to start his career learning his craft as a striker. Not a wide forward, not a false 9 or anything but as a striker. We don't seem set up to facilitate this at the moment.

My conclusion is that ultimately we need a loan for Parrott and to replace/add to our versatile forward options (Lucas being the obvious change regretfully).

By the way - my two cents on Llorente.

Yes if we could have kept him this year we should have, just as a plan B but this is also why i get why he may have wanted to go.

I get why we didn't work harder to though - we're not really playing in a way which properly utilises a standard forward in my view. Kane isn't and he'd score much more in my opinion if we did. So Llorente as a rotation option doesn't work, it only works as a last resort when a game needs changing up drastically.

Our plan A and plan B should be better than having a big man to throw up top. The fact that it isn't is why i'd have kept him but i think we need to plan for a better attacking set up in general and a player like Llorente or a few of the seasoned names mentioned doesn't do that.

Giroud would be perfect for us if he weren’t a goon. Rumours he’s off to Inter anyway.

France has an abundance of attacking talent - Griezmann, Mbappe, Coman, Dembele, Ben Yedder, Martial even. But the only time the attacks makes sense is with a strong man up front to let the bitty players and runners do their thing. He’s so selfless, will fight the defenders a bit and will score goals but he also makes everyone else around him play better and gives the French attack variety especially when teams park the bus.

We played England in as friendly before last World Cup and looked great with fast skilful players but aside from that game always looked poor. Even in the first game of the World Cup against Australia we were poor until Giroud came in and the rest is history.

I’d get a couple of fullbacks who can cross and a Giroud type player for our sexy ones to play around. Kane seems to want to play as a 10 these days anyway.

Yep, perfect in that we don’t get any effective crosses in, and we desperately need more players who will amble around up front barely pressing the opposition. Perfect.

Player we should be keeping an eye on is Victor Osimhen of Lille. Seriously rapid and scoring some great goals this season. I remember we were linked with him as a youth player along with Arsenal.

Llorente changed the CL semi against Ajax and was handy in other games. A player like that is a good option, not the future for Spurs Blueprint tm.

Probably the only reason we are linked with him! ?

Given we haven’t been linked to any recognised defenders especially centre backs they’re either going to be unheard of kids and/or young prospects who are currently nowhere the level of a prime Toby or Jan which is very concerning as it will leave us with Sanchez (work in progress), Foyth (a lot of work needed), Dier (meh), and the untested albeit promising Tanganga and Eyoma.

Is this Nathan Ferguson any good? Must admit if he's ridiculously cheap and on a similar level to Aarons then it makes sense.

Ferguson looks more robust which is a current concern for Aarons from some posters here, and a concern for KWP.

Ferguson has looked good whenever I've watched him. Can't say I've watched him extensively but the he's been solid in the games I've seen in which one of them he was MOTM I think.

Would be very positive for us to get him in IMO especially if it was for a good price.

Been playing RB and LB this season from what I’ve read

Is he similar to Foyth then or does he have more attacking prowess? Admittedly I just saw he was 19 and a fullback and assumed he'd be similar to most 19 year old fullbacks which is pacey but not defensively astute

As far as I’ve read and briefly seen, he’s well rounded rather than exceptional. I have a feeling he’s played as a winger too. Started his professional career known as a centre back.

I think a more defensively solid RB could work if we’re planning to transition Sessegnon into the LB spot. A bit like Perreira and Chilwell at Leicester, the former is more of an attacker and the latter more of a natural defender.
