Ok based on one berge video and Aarons rumours I’d like both in January.

—————Gazza
Aarons - Dave —Foyth —Davies
—————Berge
——Ndombele—Lo Celso
Son——————————Sess
——————Kane

Then get a CB and LB in the summer. Painful rebuild complete and realistic

I'd say we need more than that.

Depends who leaves by next summer. Should help that Skipp and Tanganga could come in. Parrot, I think needs to follow in Kane's footsteps and have a couple of loans to get experience. Those loans made Kane what he is today. Potential #outs are

Eriksen
Wanyama
Rose
Vertongen
Alderweireld
Aurier
KWP

So that would be a playmaking AM, a CDM, a LB, 2 x CB, and let's say 1 x RB. And we probably need a new GK and perhaps a fresh player in attack.

7-8 players out and 7-8 in?

We are linked with Depay today. Will be in the last year of his contract next season. Explosive pace and seems to be scoring loads in France. I cant see it happening but would love it

We’re not going to shift both RBs. So I think Aarons is enough.

2 CBs out doesn’t mean 2 need to come on. We could have Sanchez, Foyth, Dier plus one in. Tanganga out on loan.

Wanyama doesn’t need replacing either if we’ve already brought in a dm.

Necessity of an AM depends on how we’re gonna play. If the right deal comes up then it’s a good idea. Priorities are further back though.

Agree on new gk but let’s wait to see how Lloris recovers. Not an urgent position.

So 6 out, inc 3 contracts expiring.
4 in over the next two windows. Maybe 5 depending on AM or GK situations.

Id be worried about being attractive enough without CL.

some itk from gilly on simb:
So i found out yesterday at a meeting with a scout friend whom i am going back into football with. If he says it then its gospel.
We sold trips and had agreed 25m to Max Aarons.
Max Changed his mind despite pressure for darren dein his agent, son of David. Im not going into why but we have the option and may go agsin in January.. thats all.

FWIW Aarons & Sessegnon seem like they're good buddies. They comment on almost every single one of each others instagram posts.

Darren Dein also represents Luis Binks who is in our academy.

Aarons would be interesting. With Sess on the other side we could play that wing back shit again, maybe to a good effect:

----------------------New GK-------------------------- Gazza
-------------Foyth--------Dier-------Sanchez--------- Tanganga, New CB, Davies option 1
---Aarons--------Sissoko----Ndombele------Sess---- KWP, Winks, New CM, Davies option 2
-------------Lo Celso---------------Son--------------- Lamela, Lucas, Dele, New CAM
---------------------------Kane------------------------ Parrot

Why not? We have Foyth as the other RB, and Poch clearly doesn't rate KWP - he's gotta go out on loan or perm.

Aurier has to go.

And if we are back in for Aarons, then there's no sense having 4 RBs (including Foyth).

Yeah he seems like a really classy player, he's versatile and getting valuable CL experience this season, too
Could be the start Right sided attacker that can take us forward and really make us click together as an attacking unit. looks very much like Bernardo.

His position might not be the most pressing issue but would love for us to be signing Dani Olmo. There will be a lot of competition for his services but he will be an absolute star.
Just called up to the Senior Spanish team for the first time.

I'd probably rather have him and Andre Onana for the price of Bruno Fernandes.

Not for me. Bruno contributes extreme amounts of goals and assists and, by all accounts, is a real leader in midfield. Something we haven't had in a while. Bruno's at the top of my personal wishlist, even over fantasy signings such as dybala

Watching Norwich v Watford to have a look at Aarons. Only 20 minutes in but he’s doing ok defensively and has no cover in front of him so not really gone forward yet. Looks quick but short. So unsure.

I’d love Doucoure though. Power and strength in midfield. A more skilful sissoko and would be a good upgrade. He’s who I’d go for next for our midfield. He can do it all and would be a good foil for Ndombele.

edit: on this showing I’d say he’s no better than KWP. Had KWP had as much game time as Aarons has had we’d probably be after him. Says it all really.

I don’t think he’s that much of an upgrade on Sissoko for the price he’d command and the fact that he’s only a couple of years younger. Good player, but think we’ve got to work the market smarter.

If the plan was to sell Trippier and sign Aarons then it's very amature that it didnt happen. Before you sign off the Trippier deal you need to have something binding between us and nowrich...

you’re probably right. We need some more fighters though and he knows the league.
