Pretty sure we had one of these threads not too long ago, but they're always fun, so:

Lloris
Corluka - King - Vertonghen - Ekotto
Parker - Modric
Son - Van Der Vaart - Bale
Kane
Bench: Friedel, Dawson, Alderweireld, Dembele, Lennon, Eriksen, Defoe

I know you’ve added Lloris and Son there ( and I wouldn’t disagree), but I think basically if we had just had a peak Kane during Harry’s time we would have won the league or come very close.

I'd go back to a rough approximation of our 3-at-the-back system in the final year at WHL.

3 at the back, pick themselves. Walker and Rose bombing forward and overlapping to provide width and create space in the middle for the others.

Modric and Dembele turning defence into attack with Modric either playing one of his signature passes or Dembele just barging his way past everyone with the ball.

VDV creating things from the 10/"Eriksen" role. Bale cutting inside and either having a crack himself from distance or playing off Kane like the old Ali-role.

------------------------Lloris---------------------------
----------------Toby---King---Vertonghen--------------
Walker--------------------------------------------Rose
----------------Modric------Dembele-------------------
-------------Bale------------------VDV----------------------
-------------------------Kane----------------------------

Subs:
Berbatov, Son, Eriksen, Ali, Wanyama, Parker, Friedel

We'd be a bit open in CM but I have faith in our 3 CBs to deal with the pressure they were put under, and we'd be so dominant in attack that we'd still pick up plenty of points.

Not wrong, all that team really lacked was a prolific CF like Harry.

Woah, lets not go nuts.

He had a couple of years with us where he genuinely was up there in the top 5 LWB in the world. No question about it. Obviously he then got injured and then has had all kinds of issues on and off the field since then. But the last couple of seasons at WHL I don't see how you can say he wasn't one of the best in his role. He was considered by many to be the best in the PL at least

I don't care about coveted etc. BAE was never coveted during his Spurs career, that's not the point.

And maybe that is part of the appeal to me, only Spurs fans knew how fucking good he was because we watched him every week, technically he is on a different planet to Rose.

Out of curiosity, what do you guys think a 2011-12 Scott Parker could do for our current team?

I loved BAE. Very good passer of the ball.
