Has anyone been keeping tabs on Tashan Oakley-Booth? Wasn't he mean to be one of the most promising in our academy?

has stagnated badly over the past couple of years, looks like he desperately needs a change of scenery whether that be on loan or permanent. the coaching staff can't seem to figure him out as a player either which doesn't help, so far this season he's played as a dm/cm, #10, rw, lw and even up front in one game. technically and physically/athletically he's above average but mentally he's just not there, doesn't engage himself enough during a game. a loan to a league 2 club might be the eye-opener he needs but just as likely that level of football will be completely lost on him.

Hopefully if we beat Olympiakos the Bayern game will be a completely dead rubber and a few may get a chance.

won't happen. see apoel at home two years ago.

Wolves away 3 days later I think we will. Just to say as well even though it was largely poor yesterday I do like the look of Bennett this season. He wasn’t great yesterday but can definitely see he’s got something about him.

I have a question to those that know. Given this lack of playing time for the promoted youth prospects and this approach by Poch, why hasn't anyone in the academy made this point my to Poch? Why isn't McDermott pushing for loans or minutes?

It’s frustrating with him because there was a substantial period where he was the best player (just ahead of Gomes) in the u17 national team which included Sancho, Gomes, foden et al. I don’t think he has it mentally but would love to be proven wrong as for me he has always had a fair bit more technical ability than edwards (obv diff types of players) coupled with pace and physicality. He’s an unbelievable dribbler, the way he uses his body and beats people without touching the ball. He’s the only youth player who at his best looked as above the other players on the pitch as peak dembele. I can see the problem finding his position, just like with moussa, although he’s also an excellent passer, just doesn’t seem to tend that way naturally.
