Just like last year where it was clear CM was killing us last year. This year defensive midfield and right fullback are absolutely killing us and have to be top priorities in January. Left back is a fucking mess too but we've gotta start giving Sess his chance there before buying another.

IF that is where he is supposed to play...

We strongly need a top class DM who could cover our fullbacks and control the midfield. Same what Casemiro does for RM

I could imagine even Serge 'the walking red card' Aurier looking much better then

watched bruno fernandes tonight. he works hard and makes a lot of good runs, in terms of position he was playing pretty high, not sure if that's where he normally plays but his role was similar to dele's in his early years or a clint dempsey/tim cahill type. didn't really show too much when he had the ball but would seem he's more about off the ball movement and sniffing out chances. on tonight's evidence he's not a bad player but not sure he's really what we need.

DM, and RB are priority for me. LB for the summer.

Agree. Difficult to do in January but we need to really to do something as we absolutely woeful in certain positions. Sick of seeing the likes of Aurier and Winks turning out for us every other week.

David Ornstein in his Monday morning briefing for The Athletic saying he doesn’t believe there will be significant incomings in January...

Efforts to trim what has become a bloated group will resume this winter, however the number of players joining the club is expected to be limited. Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has talked of overseeing a “new chapter” and many observers wrongly took that to mean there would be significant spending in January.

There is a feeling around Spurs, though, that the Argentine is more likely to integrate young, hungry players such as Oliver Skipp, Japhet Tanganga and Troy Parrott. This would be similar to what he did when he arrived in 2014 and trusted the likes of Harry Kane, Ryan Mason, Andros Townsend and Nabil Bentaleb, while phasing out more experienced players such as Emmanuel Adebayor and Younes Kaboul.

which thread does this go in if not here?

dragon1: there will be at least two incomings in Jan and they will both be defenders but not necassirily full backs

Well this doesn’t bode well when it’s our full backs which are the glaring problem back there.
