Good idea with the 4-5-1 . Liverpool struggling to find the ball like they did against United

I'd swap out Dele for dier though and switch roles with winks who is utter garbage at defending

Excellent scoreline, excellent tactics, middling performance, albeit gutsy.

Absolutely baffled by people calling for us to be more offensive. Why? Just for the sake of it? This neagtive, bitty, counter & long-ball game, with disciplined lines and triggered pressing seems perfect for the moment to me.

Gazzaniga has been outstanding but our midfield is both ill disciplined and non existent... stupid fouls by both Sissoko and Winks with Alli and Eriksen nowhere to be seen. If it’s a case of attack v defence for the rest of the game, leave Kane and Son up top, pack the midfield and just play long balls on the counter.

Although I wasn’t expecting it before the match started, but I’m very pleased to see so many of our players with such fire in their bellies today - Kane, Dele, Son, Sanchez, Gazza, Sissoko, Aurier

Would be very tempted to have Lo Celso for Eriksen, but it is a high pressure game. only way to find out if he has it though.
