I don’t think Kane is as fully behind Poch as he was two years ago. I have no proof obviously it’s just based on the way he is used in the team nowadays and his performances.
He's rightly pissed off I imagine.
He won the golden boot twice on the bounce and we were in a title race so the coach decides to play a new system where he hardly ever sees the fkin ball.
Its so fuckin stupid you couldn't make it up.
If we dont turn this around drastically very quickly he'll go imo.
I should add its not all on Poch, its letting too many of your starting 11 get to a position where they either dont want to be here, we dont really want them here or theyre on the verge of not being here anyway.
I thought we were a better run club than that. Clearly not.

Rachel Yankee just made an excellent point. As a player gets older they start to question stuff more and aren’t as compliant especially if it’s the same voice. It’s a like a Parent when kids start becoming teenagers, they just won’t do everything you tell them or are less likely to.

So a damn good thrashing is in order then?

Edit I meant a hidiing to the players not losing 8.0 ;)

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is planning to sell English midfielder Eric Dier, 25, 27-year-old Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen, Ivorian defender Serge Aurier, 26, Kenyan midfielder Victor Wanyama, 28, and 29-year-old English defender Danny Rose in January after his side's poor start to the season. That just leaves Alderweireld and Vertonghen...

Have to say I do go back and forth. Unfortunately I just think he has an impossible task. Once the feeling has gone it’s gone. It’s nothing against Pochettino it’s just the situation. He made a rode for he his own back by saying he’d leave if we won the CL. Imo that was the beginning of the end he planted the seed.

It’s fair what you say but what evidence is there for no one ever being able to rebuild after the “feeling” has gone?

Kane's performance level declined before Poch's obsession with the diamond. That bulldozing, all-action creative Kane probably was last seen at the end of 2017 because since 2018 he has gradually become more reserved and peripheral. And it's not just for us because for England it's the same. I've watched England rack up some nice wins in the last year where Kane has scored but actually he barely touched the ball with everything happening around him. I think defenders when they play us are more fearful of Son because he takes no invitation to run with the ball and does it at pace. Kane seems more bothered making it a physical battle and trying to win free kicks. I'm pretty confident the number of shots he fires off in a game has gone down significantly these days too.

The man will always score goals because you don't lose that instinct. But he's nowhere near as fun and enthusiastic to watch play. I put it down in large part due to those recurring ankle injuries (some obvious damage done to mobility + in order to prolong career wants to conserve energy) and partly because he has a status of an elite player and with that comes a big ego.

So why are they still playing?

I'm sure that the club would like to sell Eriksen but the question is whether he would like to be sold.

This. Once again opening his mouth making a stupid comment when he should have kept that to himself.
I've heard a lot of people who think that was the start of it.
Like publicly saying he doesnt give a fk about winning domestic trophies. Not clever.
If I was a player and we made the biggest game of our career in cl final and the coach dropped the guy who just scored a hattrick in the semi final so he could bring back so.eone, anyone, who has been out injured for weeks I wouldn't have been impressed either. If wed won it wouldn't have mattered but we didnt so questions are asked and he looks like an idiot.

I agree that the comment wasn’t good, but our form was suffering before he said he might leave if we won the CL (I’m still not convinced that wasn’t tongue-in-cheek either).

I think the problems run deeper than that and relate to more than just Poch’s activities.

Lots of Mourinho talk in papers today.

Never thought I would say this but I would actually take him. I am so desperate to see Spurs win trophies and get the monkey off our backs. I just honestly don’t think Poch has what it takes to get us over the line and the players are certainly to blame for the failure to. We should of picked up atleast a league cup since Poch took over, but it’s been year on year out of false dawns and failing to get over the line. Time for a change I think and a serial winner in charge.

If Poch goes then there’s no alternative for me. No point at all sacking Poch unless we can get Mourinho. I’d rather let Poch rebuild the team (and I am not sure I trust his judgement to do that) than get someone else in. Mourinho or stick if you ask me.

Couple rumours from Daily Fail today

Manchester United are looking into the possibility of RB Leipzig boss Julian Nagelsmann succeeding Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Old Trafford, says the Daily Mail.

The Mail also claims Jose Mourinho is monitoring the situation at Tottenham as he plots a path back into management, with Mauricio Pochettino’s men having endured a difficult start to the season.

JJ suggesting on Twitter that Poch will be supported this season.

Pairing this with his post in the Transfer Wishlist thread, I'm guessing he will be supported with spending money to rebuild the squad and being given the necessary time.

Agreed - I'd 100% take him now.
