Dier's first PL game of the season so he get's a pass. Toby Jan how poor are they? in front of our very eyes the decline is shocking.

astonishingly so. as I said elsewhere, on the second goal Brighton had one man in the 6 yard box to our 3 and he beat all of them to the ball, twice.

Sanchez must be thinking what is this. Maybe Poch knows the end is near for them and is waiting to reintroduce the next team...if only he can survive .

See this is what gets me. They haven't become bad players overnight. It's the manager, that's why these players are so bad. People are acting like it's amazing how players have become too old all of a sudden. it's just not true.

This has been coming their performance over the late month taking into account last season has been appalling. Sir Alex Ferguson was the master at identifying the drop off with players and knowing when to recycle. Poch has mentioned the need to refresh and we haven't really done that.

My question to you is , would you be happy with another manager managing these players?

Poch said his best position was at centre back. Not the toughest game he'll ever play, but he should get a run of games there now to see if he can form a partnership with Sanchez.

I love how vocal and commanding he is.

Difficult to say how well he did tonight as not a huge amount to do but dealt with what he had to.

Dier's always been a vocal leader and gave us significant grit, so it will be good if he make a comeback as a CB given our issues.

at least we'll never see him attempt to tackle a player by pulling his shorts down!

I think we can excel in this position if he has Vertonghen in top form alongside him

Always love him. His versatility is his greatest asset. Not many can play both DM and a CB, probably even a RB, when called upon and to be relied on.

I think someone mentioned in his first season that he looked like an overgrown toddler with his kind of enormous head and that was actually pretty funny and spot on. He looks very much a rugged man now though.

Great performance as well.
