Honestly, Spurs fans sometimes make me wish I wasn't in love with this club. I know it's normal out of 'PL' fans but, honestly.

We reached a CL cup final a few months ago. We are 7th in the table and level in points with two of our rivals. And fans want a change.

It's both pathetic and completely stupid. We get a new manager in what do you think would actually happen? Ok we might get a little bump, then most likely finish 5th. Like who can realistically do a better job.

I get a lot comes from frustration. We haven't been playing that well since last Christmas (nor have half our rivals, but that's a different story) but problems do not equal sack manager. It rarely works that way, and frankly while we haven't been playing that well, it hasn't been completely awful either.

Poch has clearly earnt time because he has had us playing so well and has built something out of nothing. He also deserves time because the 'negative feeling' at the club is not actually bared out by the current results this season, which while not great still put us in the mix for 3rd. We have also had a harder fixture list than most of our rivals and they are also dropping points against teams they wouldn't have two seasons ago.

The whole idea that we are in real crisis is complete self-entitled crap. Leyton Orient are in crisis, we are living the dream. We are not even in relative crisis, This isn't like the 90s but this isn't even like Ramos, the end of Jol, or even anywhere near as bad as the beginning of Poch. A season we finished 5th.

All our realistic targets are still very much achievable, and the issues we currently have are just that issues. Poch for me deserves at least a season in any case, were things to go anything but catastrophically wrong. Partly, because any replacement would benefit from a proper pre-season, partly because we would need to take time at deciding who the right option will be (people wanted Van Boer instead of Poch, imagine!) and partly out of respect and understanding of the genuine capabilities Poch has. There is no real benefit of making a change now in any case.

Take the CL final which we barely turned up for out of the equation for a moment.

Doesn’t look so rosy then, does it?

I'd like to see a poll put up to gauge the site's opinion on whether we should pull the trigger or not. Would be interesting to see the numbers.

Poch reportedly didn't leave his house for 10 days after the CL final if I were him be best off bolting the door down and forget about being seen at all. Oh no sorry that's me and you lot for the abuse we are about to receive. The old Tottenham is back it would seem absolute embassering dross ?? if this doesn't make Kane want to leave I don't know what will. As pointed out before our form was a papered over crack thanks to our CL run now it seems we are hurtling to rubble. I want Poch to turn it round but this is his ultimate test I blamed VAR last time round this time no excuses dreadful the vultures for Soton circle now.

I didn't speak for 3 days. Stayed in my room away from family. Just showered and ate sandwiches.

So are we saying that Poch wanted us to be totally embarrassed and get knocked out tonight so he picked a shit team and told them not to try - or did he take it seriously and pick a strong team that he thought would win?

To be fair though, all those you listed had country sized budgets to work with, so thay could challenge on all fronts. Poch has to pick his priorities.

You shouldn't need a country-sized budget to knock out a League 2 side. Tonight Arsenal, Leicester and Everton rested players and comfortably beat teams better than Colchester.

We didn’t even turn up for the Cl final ffs. That was a huge warning sign in itself. The rot has been apparent for ages.

We’ve been getting worse and worse and worse since the start of last season.

The CL final has become this thing that people use to defend Poch but we didn’t even win the fucking game. We were utter shit!

Well, he didn't think he was.............

SAF headhunted him as his successor, and unfortunately he got binned for doing the exact same thing pretty much every manager has done for them since.
(based on the fact he technically won a trophy and got sacked before any of the other competitions were finished).

Poch is, undoubtedly, the best Spurs manager I’ve seen in my lifetime (I’m 32).

By the same token of appreciation, Harry Redknapp was also the best Spurs manager I’d seen in my lifetime at that point.

As was Martin Jol before him, IMO.

They both inevitably hit their ceiling and moved on, leaving the club in a much better place than they found it.

The Champions League final has masked what has been an objectively appalling year for both the club and Pochettino in every other regard. It’s about time we seriously considered the possibility that he, too, has hit his ceiling, and it’s time to move on.

This isn’t a knee jerk reaction to tonight. I didn’t see the game, and I wouldn’t call for a manager’s head on a spike for a cup upset. All the big clubs have one every few years.

This just seems to be where we’ve been heading to since January with no sign of it turning around.
Good post.

I’ll say it. I want Mourinho. He’s a winner. He’s what we need. If he comes and I’m wrong then I’ll hold my hands up and say I got it wrong but he’s the best replacement we could seriously get.

Eddie is the most likely direction. Live in Bournemouth, get to a good few games. People can’t say enough.
Although same true for Poch (around the game, not us lot tonight!!!).

Not sure on Jose. Far to surly. Def a winner tho. Would have a squad to work with. But we all know it will last three years tops

Agree something has to give tho. All gone very sour last two months. Form poor end of last season but this really has escalated

THe only thing we should pull the trigger on is exiling Eriksen to the reserves. As far away from the 1st team as possible.

I particularly liked Eriksen's corner that looped way over everybody and out the other side.

I bet Real just can't wait for January to roll on to snap up talent like that Christian ?
