The performances are unforgivable at the moment, but I'm 29 years old and Pochettino is in a class of his own in my lifetime of Spurs managers. If he's passed his best or we replace him, things could go very quickly back to the standard Tottenham of my lifetime. Depressing.

Just look at United, biggest club in the country and they've been in the shit since SAF left.

Who from our squad has the balls to make this team work. Dier genuinely seems to give a shit and it was nice to see someone barking at his team mates for once. Kane surely does but I reckon this is our last season with him. Lamela, Son and Winks are the only others I think have it in them to really push through this apathy.

Waiting for a statement of apology from the Club, Poch and the players. Nothing less than that is what I expect.

They have brought the club into DISREPUTE AND SHAMED US ALL

Yeah, there's no way we should let Mourinho anywhere near our club. It would just be more of the same we've had with Poch since january. At most he'll give us one good season and then we'll end up in the shits like with all the clubs he's been at recently. He's literally poison.

Rare for me to say this but Levy's dropped a bollock too. All the senior coaching stuff are Poch's buddies - once he goes, there's not going to be an obvious analogue to Sherwood to step in till the end of the season.

In his first 6 years he did win a few things.

We're on 19 points from 18 games. Let's say that form continues - we don't get better or worse, both of which are possible. At Christmas, we're somewhere between 19th and 15th. Does he still have that right?
There's no guaranty whoever comes in will do any better. An upgrade on Poch, right now to take us to the next level is a Klopp type quality. Who's out there? Of course if some manager came in now of that quality and offered their services, that's a different story.

I can see how we can improve. Play a fucking DM and get back to basics.

We haven't played well, but we reached the CL final at that time and we haven't actually done as badly as some people say.

Poch deserves the season, he has earnt time and we are not going down or anything. Any fan would think we are batshitcrazy to want to get rid of Poch, and tbh I think we would. This btw is a season start that when before Poch came would be perfectly fine. Imagine if we won against Leicester and Arsenal, both games we should have won. We would be sitting in third with the same points as City. If that consivable thing happened fans would be excited and talking about the title.

There are problems, mainly two or three. 1) defensive shape, 2) panic mentality 3)build up from the back. These are things that can be solved. Today Poch himself was almost certainly experimenting with solutions to 1 in particular. Funnily enough there actually was enough today to think that maybe three in the back is a solution. It created more width, we were very solid, admittedly towards a poor side and all that. Maybe it's not a solution but don't for a second believe he was playing three at the back as a response to colchester. This was an experiment for him. He is trying solutions. Give him time.
We can all see how we can improve, I'm just not sure that Poch can anymore.
Some of his tactics and changes have been odd as fuck.
He shouldn't still be experimenting after 5 years in charge.

Didn’t Liverpool go out to a shit team in the LC last year?

Yeah, it’s disappointing, but it is a competition that big clubs are happy to palm off, particularly in the early stages.

Lose our next couple in the league and hang Poch out to dry, but not for this waste of a competition.

Chelsea. We had this convo around p2/3 in this thread.

Give me 1 good season then. Better than waiting for bright future , forever

We just might make it to 100 pages for an EFL 3rd round cup!

At the end of the day, while getting knocked out of this cup isn't the end of the world, the way we are playing has to be the concern.

It's amazing to think that we were in a CL final just four months ago and the supporters were 120% behind the club despite the flaws. And here we are today with the infighting and players being booed off the pitch. It's disappointing on all fronts.

The good news is that the problem is clearly mental. There hasn't been enough player turnover to warrant performances like this so regaining the mentality has to be the primary focus.

But the bad new may be that were so far down the path that we can't regain that mentality where everyone played for each other. Whether it is playing with abandon, Dele and Dier's bromance, or Sonny's handshakes, this isn't the same team we had just a couple of years ago even though most of the players still remain.

Mind boggling
