If we can finally get a front six of Ndombele, Lo Celso, Winks, Son, Kane and Lamela together, we should be fine. At least those 6 all definitely want to be here.

We’ve got to be looking to take a cut price for Eriksen at Xmas, surely. He’s going through the motions.

It can’t help that we have half a dozen individuals still around the first eleven who won’t sign contracts (Eriksen, Toby),were mooted for sale (Wanyama, Rose,), or seem miserable as fuck (Dier, Jan).

What happened with them two? My stream died

Dier gave his shirt to little Colchester lad.
Dele chatted and smiled to the kids round him, a few hair ruffles.

Just a little bit of class.

Dier cares. Him not playing and the rest of them, Eriksen especially clearly not giving a monkeys has made me like him so much more.
He needs to play every week with the captains armband.

Not the most gifted but, the 2nd guy id want on my team after Kane

Looks like he’s lost the dressing room, probably started with his weird bullshit cryptic messages to the media over the last 6 months.
I think his often moody persona and constantly contradictory bollocks in the media hasn't helped.

How many times do you see him say something like 'I'm very happy with the squad' then a week later there'll be another quote saying something along the lines of 'We're nowhere near ready to compete'

A classic is 'We have to operate in a different way to the other teams because we can't compete' followed by 'We want to challenge for the title'.

There's a confusion to it all and it seems like that's playing out on the pitch.

I think you ladies need to get a grip. It’s the League Cup to be honest. I am not that worried we are out. The PL and CL should be our focus. Clearly the run out for Vic and Eric didn’t work. They are rusty. Poch never liked this Cup anyway. The Saints will be the test. Hope the lads are up for it. Eriksen is a worry. Just saying. A few others in MF need to step up. Expecting him to be your ‘go to’ player this season will end in pain.

Poch has earn't the right to stay at least til the end of the season. We're 6 games in. Let's wait until our new players are back from injury/catch up with the pace of the PREM/Poch's demands. Even if we don't make europe for next season, if we show signs that things are improving, then he needs to carry on into next season.

So you’re saying give Poch until the end of the season and if we finish 7th/8th then give him time next season as long as we’ve shown things are improving?

Basically this is rock bottom! We can't sink any lower..
Since the loss to Burnley to end our 'title race', we're on 19 points from 18 games, including somewhat of a bounce in home form when the new ground opened. Unless things improve - and so far they haven't - we will soon be in the bottom half, we will be very close to the relegation zone within the next few weeks, and could even slip into it at some point. We're not going to go down, because if that actually happens we'll sack Poch and improve at least in the short-term. But there is a serious danger this becomes a lost season, much like Mourinho's last one at Chelsea, where by the time we get our act together even qualifying for Europe is an unrealistic dream. This is the stage where I'll get the "D'Ohs" etc but if it can happen to Chelsea it can sure as heck happen to us, we have been in severe decline, and we've not taken quick enough action.

The bright side is that that Chelsea side went on to win the league the next season, and this squad has more than enough quality to do likewise once it benefits from a refresh, particularly if we also have a season without Europe as depressing as that will be.

How much time? The decline since 16-17 has been clear to see. Two years is the average lifespan of a manager these days - to have survived two whole years purely of decline without even coming under significant pressure before tonight is amazing. It's a testament to how good a job he did in his first three years. But the last couple, culminating in over six months worth of relegation form, no domestic away wins in that time, and the worst defeat we've had in the club's modern history are a bridge too far. It's not impatient to say that after two years the odds are that while he was the man to build the club up, he's not the man to turn it around.
You are making it sound like everyone who hasn't kneejerked for him to be sacked are behind your itinerary. There were extenuating circumstances like a squad that needed freshening up and a shitload of injuries. At the end of the day, he may be sacked - that's down to Levy but I just find it grating to suggest that those who felt that he deserved a bit more time were somehow deluded.

Genuine convo between me and the Mrs at the end of the game...
Me: Can we watch an NFL game now?
Her: I'm surprised you want to watch more of one team with the ball waiting around until the entire other team resets their defense before trying to score for the next three hours... You might as well wait until Spurs play again...

Called me a di*k and went to bed :(
