I don't want to believe it as it churlish, but the media is full of ex players and Journo's who may have a problem with us

Joe Cole yesterday was creaming at our team changes, he couldn't wait to suggest Poch made changes due to our draw and that all is not well.
Merson and Nicholas come out with garbage about us every week, Alan zzz Smith commentates our games with a huge goon hat on, Tony Gale against Palace was pathetic, actually moaning when Palace moves broke down.

The list is endless, i am not alone in realising that the media jump on us more than any other top club.

Poch signs a new deal but is still leaving every week, same with Harry.....its pathetic.
There are some idiotic commentators but a lot of it is either out of a cynical attempt to get a reaction (Durham) or people who just don't bother doing research and just jump on the bandwagon.

Refrained from posting after the game yesterday.

Clearly the players arnt as motivated anymore and it stems from Poch.

Look, it's starting to feel like the beginning of the end unless he can change the situation.

If he can't then I don't see why we'd perservere because we're going to finish mid table if these performance levels continue.

And that is a very real possibility. This is been going on since January just a strong winter period last season, and our rivals fucking up spectacularly, saw us crawl over the line for fourth.

We will finish mid table if things stay the same so unless Poch can address the motivational problems within the group, starting with himself, it all has that air of inevitability about it.

We didn't build all this to be finishing mid table.

I think we’ve recruited badly.

Dembele used to dominate the center of midfield and had a strong offensive and defensive game. Our current midfield is full of players who while talented have significant weaknesses and aren’t forming a cohesive unit.

Our fullbacks were once the best in the league and are now pretty average.

Pochettino is struggling but one look at the team sheet and we look unbalanced.

Totally agree. Not one of our signings has improved our squad. We sold Trippier and didnt replace, our defence looks out of place. Why is Dier not playing?

Just a thing about this 'loyalty' narrative...Poch openly flirted with the vacant Madrid job barely a week after signing a 5-year extension to his Spurs contract. I distinctly recall other managers such as Klopp outright rejecting the speculation whereas our manager was happy to fan interest until it perhaps became clear that Levy would demand the full buyout of his contract - something Madrid would not have entertained. Since then, he has spoken in riddles and then, on the eve of our biggest ever game in the last few decades, stated that victory would see him walk away from the club.

Let's be clear, he has done a brilliant - no superb job until the beginning of the calendar year. Since then, we have somehow, miraculously fluked a CL final whilst playing some of the most abject football in years. 5 wins in 18 PL games is disgraceful for any top6 club and the manor of most of those performances do not offer a great deal of hope. After today, we will likely be 10 points behind Liverpool and, in all probability, out of the title race by the end of September. People can rightly point at some weaknesses in the squad but it is hard to argue against that, on paper at least, we have the best group of players outside City and Liverpool.

Pathetic and frankly humiliating defeats to the likes of West Ham, Burnley, Bournemouth, Newcastle reflect terribly on the manager. That we contrive to squander 2 goal leads betrays a lack of leadership and belief - two elements you'd expect a top manager to instill. Even yesterday, take away the poor/baffling substitution, there is clearly an underlying problem that is causing us to snatch draws/defeats from the claws of victory.

It is obvious he has fallen out with certain players and I am unconvinced that the majority are genuinely playing for him. I would love nothing more than to be utterly wrong and the past 6/7 months (bar a jammy CL run) will be consigned to history and replaced with that swashbuckling, sensational football of previous seasons (well actually his first 2 seasons), but it just seems that we are treading water and becoming vulnerable to inferior teams around us.

People say that Mourinho leaves clubs in a mess when he goes. That's not entirely true.

Both times he left Chelsea they won championships soon after.
After he left Madrid they won the CL.

I think we'd all like to think we could replace Poch with a long term option but the truth is it's very rare for that to happen. Poch's in his 6th year and things have gone stale. Both Klopp and Pep will be gone soon as they realise they can't keep going.

If we change coach it has to be with the vision of winning stuff. It has to be.

What Mourinho does when he goes is to leave a squad of extremely expensive and talented players who are utterly sick of him, and desperate to play for anybody else.

Inter's squad where pictured crying and hugging him when he went to leave for Madrid.

I don't think he does very well with primadonas, and tends to fall out with players who think they are bigger then the club. Madrid's non-ego players seem to have always spoken highly of him

Look at numerous player interviews from clubs he’s managed, some players would literally walk through walls for him. Granted a few may not, but he’s actually a very good man manager most of the time. You get the feeling that the players aren’t playing for Poch at the moment, which is a very bad sign.

Shame on anyone suggesting Poch should go........its a sad reflection of the modern fan, after all Poch has done for our club.

He guided us through a tricky period of our history , moving away from our home whilst the stadium was being built, and at the same time achieving CL football year after year whilst on limited funds to help the club get through that testing period.

Yes all fans are within their rights to question him and his tactics, yes he has made mistakes, but now is the time to back him and stick by him and show him the same loyalty he showed us when bigger fish came knocking and he stayed loyal.

My only loyalty is to the club. I hope he stays and turns it around but if this run of form continues then why shouldn't he be shown the door.

Its a worry when all four defenders that started yesterday are probably all going to be leaving and the end of the season. Aurier knows we wanted to sell him, verts can't get a new contract and toby and rose want out. What are their mindsets like?

Is sess a good LB? I think I read they moved him to a LW at fulham because he was getting caught out of position a lot. Seems he prefers to play an attacking role.

Ndombele has already said the pace of the PL has affected him so he needs time. Poch seems set on winks in the middle so the likely hood of dier getting game time is slim as he has to compete with ndombele and sissoko.

Definitely. I’ve said a hundred times I want him to stay and win us a few pots. But what if he can’t turn it around? What if the players have stopped listening? What if they’ve lost respect for him so aren’t doing what he asks? What if the reason players aren’t being picked or aren’t signing new contracts are because they’ve fallen out with him? What if our star striker suddenly isn’t running himself into the ground as much as he used to, not because of injuries, but because he doesn’t have the motivation to anymore?

What do we do? What do chairman usually do, change the players or change the manager?

It’s all hypothetical of course.

Agree with what Herc said re 9 points from the next 3 games. Our squad is more than good enough to do that. Poch needs to settle on his best team for those games, rotate in the cup by all means but he needs to show he has an XI of sufficient support and quality to get the results needed.

I think that it is an understandable assumption that Levy would see Howe as an ideal replacement but I'm not sure that it's so cut and dried. I think that Levy might still have his doubts as to Howe's ability to manage at the level that Levy would expect. Obviously if any of the usual ITK confirm that there is genuine interest then fair enough.

To be honest I wouldn't be able to give a genuine assessment of howes ability one way or the other, so wrong of me to say he wouldn't fit the bill. If expectations have now risen too really high levels and if poc does go, with all things considered who would be an ideal candidate?
I say back him ?

Completely agree.

I actually think Poch is doing a terrible job nowadays all things considered. We routinely get carved open against every opposition we face, and we have no identity or game plan. There are so many examples of games in the last year where we just look clueless. I’m so sick of seeing us passing it around so slowly too, it must come from Pochs instructions.

As I said, I think Poch has lost the plot, and there’s unlikely to be a way back. The way he openly talked about leaving the club so often has probably destroyed him in the dressing room. I have to say I openly questioned to myself how Poch retained the belief and trust of his players based on some of the stuff he publicly said over the last two years? But somehow we kept doing well so I just thought, well however he does it, it’s working. Until it stopped working, and then you come back to the stuff he’s said.

From the outside looking in it seems we have a bunch of players and a manager who are no longer that committed to the club. The manager is out of ideas. Practically every single player in our club has got far worse over the last two years not better. This cycle has well come to an end.

I just think the question is when not if. Does Levy risk this season being a write off? We should be finishing third. How long will he let us drift?

I just want a change regardless now. I’m not afraid to admit it on here. My reasoning is documented, but our style of play I largely find laborious, I don’t like Pochs in game management and I don’t like the fact he has never won anything and we’ve always end up on the losing side when it comes to winning trophies against our rivals. I mean he could have won about five trophies of differing sizes at Spurs by now, he could have even won just a couple (even arsenal managed it) which would have probably been par for the course, the fact he has won nothing at all though is a shocker. He’s gone so far the other way in terms of winning nothing. It’s nothing personal, and I’d be the first to be happy if Poch turns it around, but I see no evidence of it based on the last 18 or so months. I think taking is to the CL final and losing will be seen as the pinnacle of Pochs achievements....unfortunately.

I’d also take the captaincy away from Lloris and give it to Kane. Don’t like GKs being captains anyway. That’s one thing I’d change.

Steve Sidwell talked about the dressing room’s reaction when Mourinho got fired. Everyone was crying and Drogba furious over the board’s decision to axe him
