These last five years or so under Pochettino have been some of the best of my Spurs supporting life. I am absolutely desperate for him to be a club legend. Spurs, in the Champions League final? Yes please. A genuine run at the Premier League title? Tim Sherwood anyone?

This group of players will probably be the team I talk to my grandkids about. Kane, Toby, Jan, Hugo, Eriksen, Moussa. What a great team.

Poch does not deserve to end his time at Spurs (whenever that is) as a pariah. This guy has taken us so, so close to everything we ever wanted.

Today feels crap. We can all see that we are not as good as 12 months ago. Let's not hang the manager and the players out to dry. Harry Kane? He's one of our own...

@ all the sanctimonious amongst us disliking the Poch out comments, how many more games must we lose before you’d do something?

Is this not a results based industry? Isn’t that why we are paying him?

But, but we played in a CL final. Then it doesn't matter if we lose more games than we win. Btw, I was being sarcastic.

Our form is crap and there are issues, nobody is suggesting otherwise, but seeing as we're all entitled to an opinion, mine is that this mentality business is utter horseshit and childish, knee-jerk nonsense, there are plenty of other reasons that are probably more valid than 'bottle' as to what's happening, there's no need to go there but sadly, one or two people always want to. Its fucking lazy IMO.

The major issue for me is the lack of effort and desire. Is that mentality or fitness or attitude or a combination of all three?

Either way, it's been obvious for some time that things are not right. The manager has made his decisions and the results are there for all to see. We've had some very good days, but the current trend is strongly negative. Can he turn it around? I hope so, but it's going to be a hell of a challenge.

Right now, it doesn't seem as if he knows his best team or formation. He's messed with the heads of some key players - e.g. his treatment of Vertonghen earlier this season - and he's been stubborn with some of his decisions. Again, why is Wanyama even on the bench today?

And increasingly, he's appearing to be much more manipulative in his dealings with the media. Ever since his 'need to be brave' and 'maybe with someone else' messages back in 2017, he has continually sought to shift the emphasis away from him and onto others.

He needs to take ownership of this situation now. He needs to change the behaviours (or attitude or mentality or whatever you want to call it) and he needs to start getting the best out of the players he has at his disposal. That is not happening at the present time - and hasn't happened for the majority of the last 9+ months.

They also had a goal disallowed by VAR. You could just as easily say if they went 1-0 it would have been a different game.
A much more clear decision that was at 0-0 and didn't have any effect on the pendulum.

When we scored their fans went completely silent, they knew they'd lost and we thought it put is in complete control.

As soon as the fans roared when the decision was made I knew itd give them the momentum and belief. Yes, our players have to stand up but it does put you at a disadvantage.

I'm sure if that had happened at WHL we would have been fine. But the energy from their fans changed everything plus Wanyama

We play colchester midweek, I think resting players in that game would be a good idea for fresh legs looking to the weekend game. Playing midweek then having the early kick off this weekend was always going to see us being tired in the second half of this game.

Or should we play as many as possible to get a morale boosting win?

Imagine if we lose to Colchester even with a rotated team.

Well if you were sure I've been chatting shit, undo it with an argument of your own which disproved what's been said?
You said ‘we should’ve pushed on regardless’ completely ignoring the fact that, from a psychological POV, Leicester players and fans have gone from thinking they’re 2-0 down and the game is dead and buried, to essentially being back in the game with all the momentum their way.

No, we should not have lost even after that decision. But to simply dismiss it as if it had no bearing on momentum shifting, is nonsensical.

You didn’t think the performance was decent? For me if we go 2-0 up we go on to win. The VAR decision changed the game. Maybe I’m glass half full but I can’t really slag off the players today (other than 1-2).

As soon as we have a set back we collapse, again and again. Decision against us, or goal before half time. There is a problem there.

IMO league position this year is far more important than a cup run, just my opinion. Let the youth have at it

Cant blame VAR its been great for us overall , but Poch is finished im affraid he is not a winner and hasnt got winning mentality. His subs cost us today bringing Eriksen on for Lamela who at the moment is the heartbeat of the side due to his work rate. And we have lost every game from this position when he takes him off. Needing a goal brings on Eriksen and Wanyama who both can just fuck off. Poch thank you but looking at our form guide youve been amazing but your not a winner and you are destroying us thnak but bye please.
I suppose it's true that you can't blame VAR for implementing the directive they've been given, but those directives are not above criticism. The whole notion that you can use software to analyze a freeze-frame and decide whether the player is offside down to the millimeter is a complete and utter farce.

The camera captures probably a half-dozen frames as the ball is coming off of the foot, and the selection of any one of those frames can easily make the difference of millimeters. Similarly, it's impossible to determine where the players' shoulders are actually located, because the shoulders are covered by shirts and wrinkles can again make the difference of millimeters. The choice of those factors is completely arbitrary, and yet makes all the difference under the software analysis paradigm.

The law needs to be re-written to say that if the difference is imperceptible to the human eye then the attacker is onside, which was functionally the standard that was applied since the day the offside law was formulate. The human eye test is a far more reasonable standard, because the exacting accuracy required for the software analysis is impossible to achieve given that the determining factors are themselves based upon completely arbitrary choices.

Mentality, mentality and again mentality. ANYTHING goes against us and we collapse. Jesus it’s football, things are gonna go against us but we just can’t deal with it

It isn’t knee-jerk though. We’re all pissed off with today’s luck, of course, but I personally think he’s gotta be under pressure and that he should be. I would love us to turn it around. Please, please, please mantra isn’t helping lol. Poch is a good nay great man. Things have to change eventually, in everything and maybe that time is now. What do you think Levy is thinking.

Seriously, is almost like Poch is trolling everyone by putting Wanyama and staging some silence protest.

Never in thousand years will anyone can think of putting Wanyama on...
