It has seemed to me that Lamela and Son have had some problems with each other the last couple of seasons. Looking irritated and sometimes seeming to refuse to pass the other and instead have a shot from a weaker position.

They look much more comfortable this season and Erik even putting this up on Instagram:

It was made up nonsense by some Spurs fans. Plenty of times in a match thread there were a few posts saying, Son and Lamela are refusing to pass to each other and then within a minute they passed to each other.

This isn't an "issue". All players will get annoyed with their team mates throughout games where they've made excellent runs but not received the ball. That's football. It's just magnified because it's usually at goalscoring end and we notice it more.

Absolutely this. At that level you don't refuse to pass to a player when they're on because you've got an issue with them (an issue that there's no evidence to support to boot).

One of the more nonsensical suggestions I've seen.

It started with a penalty incident against City 3 or 4 seasons ago, and since then people have been convinced there is friction between them.

There isn't. It's bollocks.

I love Tottenham too much, every season more and more, it’s been a lot of seasons here, a lot of years. Every season my love is more. My family is very happy that I’m here.

I didn’t think I would be saying this after the past few seasons, but we definitely missed him last night. Almost scored when he came on, his energy and work rate are making him essential to this side

Hope he has an injury free season for once. He's started great.

Serious body strength for a guy who isn't even that big, so hard to get him off the ball.

Lamela is the one who I thought would always pick out the pass. Still fuming he shot instead of passing to Kane

I hope stuff like that gets talked about in the debrief

It's unacceptable

You must be talking about Son who shot when he could have squared it Kane for a tap-in? Lamela took a shot when the box was crowded and there was no guarantee the pass would go through to Kane.

Unacceptable is the effort and application of the rest of the team. Lamela wasn't the problem.

My opinion square pass was on. He shot at an almost impossible angle. He could only have scored if the keeper fucked up

The 'keeper made a good save. Kane, Son, Eriksen all regularly shoot from situations when they shouldn't - if anything, Lamela should be encouraged to shoot more.

All I'm saying is one of his strengths is picking out passes. He is one of the best in our team at it. Son and Kane would have shot but Lamela in those positions normally looks for a pass. If he did we would have won the game

I agree, the Son one was criminal, he only had to square it. Really big missed opportunity & would have sewn the 3 points up if he'd squared it

Guys, when was the Son opportunity to square it? I thought Dele's was the biggest waste (when he shot and the 'keeper tipped wide) because Kane had loads of space to run into, which should've resulted in an open goal tap-in at the far post.

He’s quite large in person, saw him in my tescos. He’s around 6ft tall and is built. Don’t be fooled we are a big team it’s just that the players you think are tiny such as son and Eriksen are 6ft and dwarfed by Kane, Ali and Mousa.
