Yep I've been saying this for ages, it can't be a coincidence our last solid season was with Dier or Wanyama in midfield. The winks/Sissoko box to box started last season and continued this season coinciding with our leaky defence.

What is it 7 goals conceded already?
We also seem to concede a massive number of shots these days. We definitely weren't doing that a few years back when 3/4 of the defence was the same. I think not having a positionally disciplined DM has had a big effect.

Probably the worst full backs I've seen since in many a year.

Ndombele is lost out there and winks is doing everything, dier is a must in the second half. Kwp too.

Not sure what Jan was doing on their goal.

I think we will still win. Feels different to the arsenal game. We can hit them on the counter but we must be clinical.

Personally I think we miss Dier. He gets balled out for the occasional bad pass but his positional sense is underrated in the middle of the pitch.

Score's about right.
We are too hesitant.
Sanchez, Erikson awful
Ndombele very disappointing.
Davies too apart from the interception
that led to the goal.
What happened to positivity and pace?

I think the score is very generous.

Complete opposite to the performance against Palace, no intensity and same old attitude from players thinking they can turn up and put in a half arsed performance because they’re not playing a top team.

We really seem to have some thick players who seem intent on playing stupid football, there are too many basic errors in each game every season, Vertonghen completely switched off for the goal and his reaction says it all. Kane seems to be a hindrance at the moment, he looks sluggish and unfit, his pressing runs when he used to chase defenders are nowhere to be seen now. The whole team have stopped pressing for some reason, and it’s not paying dividends.

On that goal that they scored, he ran past Ben & Verts like they were standing still, What is the point in signing Sessegnon if he can't play, and man get Sanchez off of RB please Poch.

Nothing is ever simple with us is it. Lucky to be ahead in all honesty so let’s hope that’s a wake up call that we can’t stroll. Our lack of a defensive midfielder is really hurting us, we are so open it’s not funny. Worst time to concede a goal aswell really.

Davies has been caught out a few times, his lack of pace is being exposed.

We need to sort the fullbacks and CM. Luckily we are still winning by 1 anyway.

I think the problem in previous seasons was when we paired Dier alongside Wanyama or Sissoko. Having 2 players in midfield who aren't brilliant passers or comfortable on the ball is a big problem and puts massive pressure on us. However, if we play Winks or Ndombele alongside him hopefully we can find a happy medium between defence, attack and control.
